Finally got my narrow installed 
Unfortunately it got placed a bit too much to the right. didnt notice it at the time of install, hopefully it moves a bit eventually 
(will ask about the seemingly “exit wound” on saturday when I revisit for a checkup)

it looks like they used the 4G needle and went wrist to finger instead of the other way around. it’s hard to control the point (tip) as-is, and the whole hand / skin tapers down in that direction instead of up, so controlling the angle and everything is just that much harder going that direction. it definitely looks like the point erupted out of your skin at the end there. not a huge deal, but easily avoidable if they went the other direction (from fingers toward wrist).
i think a lot of artists consider the wrist-toward-finger direction to be “safer” because they feel like the point would be approaching the convergence of bones and tendons etc. and risks “jamming the needle into all that stuff” (for lack of better wording), but if they are doing it correctly, then the needle point will never come close to any of that because it should be hovering above at a “higher z-axis” than all that “stuff”.. but if they aren’t tenting the skin correctly or guiding the needle in at the correct angle, then sure, that’s a possibility.. but i somehow feel like most artists aren’t actually thinking things through and instead just going with a kind of “wrote” rule of thumb - always pierce away from the wrist, or whatever.
Anyway, the position looks fine and the “exit wound” isn’t a big deal.
What do you mean? Too far to the right for your personal liking? As far as positioning goes, flex products are not really all that concerned with positioning over bone like x-series are, so “too far” comes down to personal preference really.

Good information, thank you, yes the installer (Simon here in Sweden) told me he was gonna go from wrist side and as I had previously assumed that was “best”, I agreed.
Yea he went a bit far with the needle (4G), I even felt this as I believe he nicked a nerve at the far end, which I can still feel today (when I poke the area around the exit wound I get a tingling/vibrating sensation), it also creates a pain when I pivot my hand a certain way to the right with my ring finger curled up, I initially thought a tendon was hit but after poking around a bit I think its just slight tissue/fascia/nerve damage, I assume this will take some time to heal up. It was installed this saturday
Other than this, I can use my hand with full strength as long as I avoid that movement.
As for the placement, I did want it placed 5mm to the left, more to the center of my fingers, currently its right edge is basically touching my ring finger bone/tendon (of course it slides around a bit where it sits currently), not sure how that will feel once everything is fully healed and I move my hand fully, but if theres no issues with feel then this placement shouldnt bother me I think
