Good afternoon
I wanted to inform myself, I now have a FlexNExT in my hand but it is breaking.
Does anyone have one lying around that they would like to sell?
Hey mate, long time no see.
How is your Ubiquiti system going?
To answer your questions
Unlikely, but Good luck.
You would have seen that the FlexNT has been discontinued.
This was for 2 reasons, which was really one all encompassing issue; the fragility of the chips. One on the NTAG216 sticker the other the LEDs.
Neither were robust enough to survive everyday invivo life.
I dont think there are any out there and implanted where the LEDs have survived although, this could be survivorship bias by me.
The NTAG216 stickers have had fewer failures and I belive there are still a few out in the wild.
I havent heard of any of the T5577 chip and antennas (FlexEMs) failing.
If you’re happy to take a suggestion from an internet rando, could I suggest you consider a FlexNT and a FlexEM (If you need the functionality of both)
I have a FlexNT and I have had it for years. It is a great wee performer.
I did a write up on it
I will be back home later today where I have some Bullseye stickers (what was used in the FlexNExT) and I can do a read range comparison for you; I expect the Sticker to out perform the FlexNT purely because of the massive size difference, but you wont be disapointed in the performance of the FlexNT
I hope this helps, and even if you find a FlexNExT available, I would suggest you consider an alternative.
There maybe another option at some stage, but what and when, I couldn’t tell you…
Hi Pilgrimsmaster
Sorry for the late reply.
So I have a FlexNExt on the left and right and they are really fantastic things only as you say yourself, first the LEDs failed, then the 125kHz and now the 13.56 Mhz that is starting to decrease in power or at least on 1 of the 2.
The other one fortunately still works completely.
I then bought an xMagic (T5 + gen2) but I notice that I can’t program the 125kHz from it
It does say that it has written on it but nothing could be further from the truth.
I would like to put an AWID card on it or even just 125kHz but that doesn’t work.
This one is also not recognized by my 125kHz locks.
So I’m a bit stuck now.
I have also had a FlexEM T5577 in the past but it arrived not working. When I put this on the proxmark it was not recognized on the LF just like the xMagic (t5 + gen2).
Now the strange thing is that the FlexNExt is recognized so I don’t know what’s wrong.
Can you help me with this?
How would you rate your PM3 ability?
What commands are you using?
It should come from factory in EM mode… it would be unusual if it wasn’t
The first half makes sense, the 2nd half, does not
Can you share your AWID info
lf awid reader
Your command to write will be something like this
lf awid clone --fmt 26 --fc 123 --cn 1337
This is again odd, Is your PM3 upto date?
Follow this, it might help
The FlexNExT is less surprising, It may be a loose connection between the Chip and the antenna
There’s something strange, in the neighbourhood…
Hopefully, the above answers have helped
