I need the date for a meeting soon as possible, we must give our holidayplans in december to our boss.
Thd only problrm are summerholidays (july & august) and easter.

I could see myself visiting Brussels too since flights are not terribly expensive from Northern Europe on the off season. Berlin, Germany would also be an option just looking at flights for me.

It does depend on when. Being in the casino business means i always work holidays.
I’m in for Brussels. I’m technically closer to Washington but I was planning a trip back to France at some point in 2023.
Also if you guys want a place like Hawaii but cheaper with reasonable flights from both Miami and Paris then come do this on a French Caribbean island (I’m currently staying in Martinique). It’s like 2-3h form New York and Miami, tropical and not touristy to the point of being unaffordable

You should check out Hacktivity, every year in Ocotber it takes place in Budapest, it’s an English language hacker conference, but there’s also many people form German regions. There’s some biohackers and people intereste about it.

While there are definitely areas in all bigger german cities that are not exactly “safe” at night, it’s still all quite cozy compared to tons of other countries

Sure, I even had a very unpleasant situation in my home town not too long ago - shit can happen anywhere.
But I usually feel some basic safety in most german cities (just topped off by Reykjavík ) - I was in Johannesburg once, for example, and felt very uncomfortable there. I’m just not used to it.

It’s about that time… the time of year when people start itching to do something… defcon is soon and people want to travel places and do biohacker things…
I think I’ll have to consider something in the September / October timeframe… not Christmas and not defcon and basically nothing huge going on as far as I can tell… and just do it… put on something… if 5 people show up, cool… if nobody shows up, then more tasty snacks for me

Please plan something for next year, but i need the date in the end of november 2023, so i can plan my holiday for 2024.

Where are we thinking?
Washington would be home turf for the boss and ring master, but central US could attract more people?
Also do we want it to be somewhere interesting?
In theory some random Missouri meet up might be very central… but a middle of nowhere town
So maybe somewhere with at least tech stuffs? Maybe a microcenter or electronics if we are tinkering?
Maybe a pre scouted or invited installer? Because ofc people will want to get installs

We’re overthinking it. Better is the enemy of good. No matter where we go, it’s not gonna work for somebody. If Amal’s gonna put it on, then someplace that works for him. Seattle, I guess.
We’re far better off to just get something going.
