These are currently in cart for fabrication, but given fabrication costs and the current situation with the Tariffs the US is imposing on chinese goods I have to wait this out to see what comes of it as it will not be worth it for me to have to owe 1.5x the prototype costs for something that may/may not be functional. Sorry Everyone.
Current products however are still In stock and should be for a while.
I donāt speak for everyone here, but Iām sure others will share the same sentiment: Please donāt be sorry, I donāt think you have anything to apologize for.
Thanks Guys. I was really hoping to get this analogue one out earlier but a couple design changes after taking with the guy that made the case for the V1, and then waiting on a switch and display for the pro set me back.
Iām glad I got the bulk order of the displays in before the announcement. Itās just timing is bad.
Re: 125k repeaters. These prototypes are in. I have one soldered up but I canāt test it. I donāt think itās correct and may need adjusting. I was working on essentially a decade box but for capacitence instead of resistance to kind of fine tune it but without a reliable VNA ATM Iām at a standstill. Iāll get some units to Satur9 tomorrow and see what he says.
Since i find myself using the DIY version of the field generator more than i do the actual field generator i wanted to make a little case for it. It really does amazingly well with 5v piped through it. So i made a wand case for it.
I just put in for a production run of the Analogue Field Meter. This will allow you to measure the field of your phones or anything with a duty cycle.
I have a plan in place for a V2 meter in the smaller form factor that will allow for this but it requires adding an opamp and unfortunately adding this one component throws most of the Fab houses super angry with wanting to throw all these premptive tarriffs at me. Taking my 400$ order to over 900$ for just 150 units.
I am just going to hold off on that one.
LF is still a ways away. @Satur9 says the design i have works fine but i havent had a minute to sit down with it. Been very busy over here with other projects.
If you missed the post in the Anti-Derailment Threadā¦
MidwestGadgets is now (just sent the wire transfer through) an official Defcon33 Vendor!
I will be sharing a 10x10 booth with Rabbit Labs and i am really excited to see those of you that attend. Seems like i know a lot of you pretty well already. But my Wife and i will be manning the booth along with Rabbit and his wife PinkFoxx. Seems crazy to me that this is all happening, so i wanted to say thankyou to the members of this forum for pushing me and helping me get to this point. Lots of inspiration here. <3
Now that Iām home Iāll try and take a closer look again. I still donāt have my PM3 rvd2 working, I may have soft bricked it trying to update the firmware. I have a couple dedicated LF readers though
Normally i would post this in DT Club and give them first dibs, but i have such limited stock of these and i dont plan on putting these on my site until after defcon this drop is a bit different.
Analogue meters are available.
These a chonky. They have NOT gone out to the usual suspects. Amal has one heading his way and Pilgrim will have one eventually. but i have incredibly limited supply.
I had a great supplier lined up and got an initial run of 20 guages. Then āsomethingā occured and now this company will not ship to the United States. So i have to find another supplier that has the exact dimensions i need for the guage.
While i figure that out i am releasing the ones i made to Dangerous Things first. I have a total of 13 up for grabs. They are all Red LED displays, calibrated to .01v
These guys take a while for me to build. I was able to crank out 13 in a day.
I hope to get more in stock by DC. but as it is right now these are all i have.
$60 each for DT members, they will be a bit more on the site and at DC. Just DM me if interested.
Going to try to churn a few more of these out as soon as I can get more gauges.
For the past two years Iāve been doing most of my testing with a home made probe for my vna. I built it from a video that I found on YouTube that @Satur9 made a long time ago.
Since then I probably bought a couple hundred dollars worth of h-probes but I always went back to my home made one because it just worked better.
Since then Iāve probably made a dozen more for other vnaās I bought or other members here. I even sent @Equipter a couple so his local hacker space can use them with they vna.
The downside is they are a pain to make, and the tiny anode end doesnāt like to solder well to the pin, and I struggle to solder the sleeve to the cathode.
It worked great for what it was but it was time to do better.
Just got some prototypes in from oshpark (whoever reminded me of them thank you I forgot about them completely) and damn I love their after dark PCB option, black PCB and clear solder mask. Itās beautiful and I wish I could get that from other manufacturers. But I canāt.
Anyways, I made some changes, Iām switching the gender of the sma connection and moving it to edge mount. Iām ordering a stack of these for my final DC order and Iāll have them available at DC. Iāll also be releasing this design on my GitHub CC non-commercial so other makers have access to it. But it works absolutely great.
doesnt need one, but wants one just because it looks cool
If I buy some other stuff, would ya toss one in the bag with it?
Edit: Actually, scratch that for now⦠Trying to find my VNA and pretty sure itās in my box of radio stuff back in Minnesota. Wouldnāt be able to get back there for it until next summer.
