36,132 items. Weird seeing the entirety of my business in one box. I hope to see some of you there!

This looks amazing! I hope things don’t sell out before I get a chance to come by (I goon for Merch)

I’m putting some aside in case that happens, I doubt it will but I’ll have some just for our DT friends

Back from Defcon. Sold out completely of a few items but I have plenty of Defcon branded Flipper stickers. I revised my contract and can now officially sell the remaining stock I have now the conference is over.

Flipper field enhancers and flipper extenders are available on my site.

As an add on for the flipper extenders I have the new card antenna. This is the small 27mm antenna in a card form with an ipex connector that can connect to any of my extenders including the flipper extender. These are completely sold out and available for back order only

The extenders are limited supply but more are ordered so back orders are on. Order with the DT code so I know it’s you and I’ll throw some extras in.

Aw Snap, didn’t get a chance to do Defcon but loved the way the Flipper accessory looked. Ordered one and didn’t see your use the DT code part :eyes: What is a DT code and is it too late to add? Lol

It’s listed in the first post. I could refund you and have you reorder, or I can throw some extra goodies in. Your call

Oh I don’t need a refund at all! I saw the goodies extras and thought I’d see if there was a way to still do so, but if you’d be wanting to I definitely wouldn’t mind of course, long as it doesn’t inconvenience you! :head_shaking_vertically:

The code IS in the first post. My apologies!

Extra extras it is!

No inconvenience at all for me. I always try to hook up my DT fam.

I love the logo animation

It’s not exactly how I want it but I spent far more time on it than I would like to admit.

And it’s my first YouTube short. I didn’t realize how heavily YouTube processes audio so my original file vs this is vastly different in how I had it. Still learning though.

Got some fun updates for everyone on what I’m working on.

Pushed out another quick video on the flipper repeaters.

Also I’m working on some other devices.

@Satur9 had a great idea for a flex LF antenna that I was able to prototype. However it just wasn’t viable. I was successfully able to extend the LF range however I was never able to successfully couple any card or implant when it was in the field.

So I’m back to looking at one of my older designs. I crowd sourced the testing of this particular unit. It was an 8 layer Fr4 board.

After making my own Hprobe I now can successfully get solid reads on LF. So I can see even without proper testing that old LF test I did was actually almost perfect.

So I think I was on the right track. The issue was this successfully extended the range for T55xx chips but was a wash for EM chips. I think I know why.

So I am revisiting this with some different ideas and I hope to eventually prototype something.

Next up I have two flavors of the same device I’m working on. This was a request by NVX and ZV8 from the RFID village. They use a business card with RFID stick on nails to visualize NFC fields. They asked if I could make something cleaner. Here’s what I came up with. One is more chaotic than the other.

This should be able to give a decent approximation of field strength of a reader.

And lastly something I have put together. Equip got some gears turning and I have an LF Antenna in the works to replace the one on the pm3 easy. It modeled well, but I won’t know until I get one made.

And that there is the rub. Getting one made.

I unfortunately will not be making any of these this year. Maybe not next year. The current state of the tariffs have put me in a complete standstill as I can’t afford to prototype these devices without incurring extensive costs. Each new product I usually gave to do at least two tuning runs to dial it in. Last year, for the entire year I spent almost 1k on tariffs. This year I’m now over 7k. And the shipping costs have also increased as I can no longer use DHL. So I made a decision to halt future prototyping of new products and just create a stock pile for when all this nonsense dies down.

Any ways these are some quick updates for everyone

In other words, the US is now the land of the fee…

Made a quick video on making the LF antenna a bit better on the Chameleon Ultra.

Another late night idea I had and decided to draft up a prototype.

A bit different than what I normally do. I don’t have any lock picks. And I didn’t want to buy some and not know what I’m doing. So I decided to make some. No idea what I’m doing with these. I found some pictures online of ones and copied the profile.

The plan is to have these made in flexpcb but with a stainless steel stiffener. Thickness will be about 0.45mm . I’m also going to design a fr4 card to buy this card will be to build out the rest of the handle assembly. Picks should be able to slide into place and lock in. Handle assembly can be permanently attached with screws and even turn the entire pick set into a folder.

Naming is up in the air. Thinking like…. Pick in a Pinch….idk. I just wanted to try something new. Going to do some fun silk screen design on it

Logos aren’t permanent I was trying to think up placement and mocking things up

Not a bad selection if you only have 3 profiles
Top a medium hook for single pin picking
Middle a double peak for raking, a bogata profile would be better
Bottom is a worm/snake rake, not the best but ok for raking or a kinetic attack like zipping

They look cool though.

Interesting idea, i’ve never seen multi-layered picks before. Picking is a lot about feedback, so the material would normally determine how good they are.
Also the thickness is important, dictated on the keyway you are attacking.

With any slop you lose that feedback, I like the design though

This would be a better option

cool feature, but you may lose performance unless you can lock it TIGHT, again I like the design though.

I like it

Not that you asked for it, but my summary

Love the idea - May be weak - feedback may be limited - missing tension wrench (turning tool)- multi form factor nice - Looks cool

Might be good for some basic locks like the transparent training locks

Additional ideas / suggestions…if you want them

  • Make it a PCB HF Test card with antenna around the perimeter and LED in the corner, like the DT Diagnostic card

  • Have the Backing a sticker, so once you peel it out, you can stick it back down and you can use it again as a Pick in a Pinch

  • The the Backside of that sticker a Print of your Midwest gadgets Business card ( you could even have it hidden behind a sticker. eg. Business card on one side and a Logo or similar on the other. The LED would be hidden but glow through the sticker, giving a Business card with a discreet field detector / lock pick combo #3 in 1

  • Try and put a tension wrench (turning tool) design in there ( You need two tools to open a lock, a pick for the pins and tension wrench to turn the lock cylinder)

Suggested profile ( any of these, but left probably “best”)

Two turning tool types / methods, Bottom of Keyway (BOK) Top of Keyway (TOK)
The left most gives you both options
BOK good for Single Pin picking (SPP) and raking/ zipping
TOK good for SPP ( note the tiny serrations for grip )

Keep firing ideas and designs and I will keep giving feedback and constructive criticism if you want it.

My prediction is they are not going to be very good, but I truly hope I am wrong.

I do think it’s a cool idea, and ,worst case scenario, I think they will be good Merch / promo / prize / Business card / field detector

As always, I’m happy to buy a set and test them out for you.

I hope that was of use

For now for me these are a proof of concept.

If they are cool I’ll do a full length set so you’ll get proper feedback that I hear it’s really important.

I really like the design of killermaru’s custom picks. I think if I do a full size pick I’ll do a skeletonized design like how he has created
