Custom made 152cm (5ft) ipex cables came in for the extenders.

Work flawlessly. I’m so impressed with these little things..

I can send you a few and some locks to get started if you want :+1:

I like the idea of the flexPCB, curious how it will feel.

My dreams. Dead.

The LF antenna if viable, will pave the way for an lf repeater

Let’s see if this thing will upload correctly….

Testing with the LF replacement antenna is looking really promising. I added a spot for a tuning capacitor but it looks like I may have gotten close enough that it isn’t needed. Which is great. I’m going to do a bit more testing and see if I can squeeze some more range out of it.

For some reason though hw tune completely falls at the 9sec mark. I may need to update my environment though. It’s a bit out of date

LF antenna:

Do I spy two little pads for soldering cable to, perhaps for being able to move the antenna separately from the PM3 or possibly use with another device entirely?

Also that looks super nice. I can hear my PM3-E rattling in its case asking for more hammy swag.

Those are probably this:

Also, Hamspiced is the reason why I’m considering buying a PM3 Easy when I already have an RDV4…

Alright Heres what i have for LF.

Stock

[=] -------- LF Antenna ----------
[+] 125.00 kHz … 21.41 V
[+] 134.83 kHz … 20.20 V
[+] 129.03 kHz optimal… 22.57 V
[+]
[+] Approx. Q factor measurement
[+] Frequency bandwidth… 5.5
[+] Peak voltage… 6.6
[+] LF antenna… ok

[=] -------- LF tuning graph ------------
[+] Orange line - divisor 95 / 125.00 kHz
[+] Blue line - divisor 88 / 134.83 kHz

With new Antenna

=] -------- LF Antenna ----------
[+] 125.00 kHz … 10.51 V
[+] 134.83 kHz … 10.23 V
[+] 121.21 kHz optimal… 10.33 V
[+]
[+] Approx. Q factor measurement
[+] Frequency bandwidth… 1.9
[+] Peak voltage… 3.0
[+] LF antenna… ok

[=] -------- LF tuning graph ------------
[+] Orange line - divisor 95 / 125.00 kHz
[+] Blue line - divisor 88 / 134.83 kHz

Much lower q factor.. this isn’t ideal.

However it works great with cards and fobs.
