Modified - a thread for everything bodmod-related

This is something that I would like to get but the constant risk of infection is not worth it IMO.

If only there was a way to get the skin to seal properly around a transdermal…

I had different designs in me, but they all eventually got removed.
If you consider them a temporary adventure, they’re still pretty cool, but don’t get too attached

I’d get very attached, that’s for sure.

How do they do it around mounting studs for prothesis?

Same way, and those constantly produce exudate as far as I know.

The latest transdermals are not that different from osseointegration abutments when it comes to the skin part.

Maybe I should look into this.

There, now I’ll always know where my FlexEM is at.

Also, added Kong’s battle axe:

Plus ~5 hours for line work and shading on Ghidorah. Have a few more hours to color it in after it heals up in a few weeks.

Oh my I had forgotten about this thread! x.x

A few of us from the BHD Discord have gotten ‘glowifications’, as I call them—scarifications with (a specific, presumably body-safe) glowing powder packed into them to heal over.

I know a few of the trial groups are at least somewhat active here; I did a quick video demo of mine (early in healing; it’s a bit tighter now):

I wanted it for raving, but the lighting never quite works well enough for that (in the few I’ve gone to so far). It’s really only noticeable by people I’m bowling with , and people I’m sleeping with.

Ohhh I love implant-accentuating tattoo. Mine are (intentionally) simple indicators, but the grand, ornate direction is wonderful; good stuff.

Thanks, it was a toss up between this, or pacman eating a dot. And I’m a bigger Tron fan than a pacman fan.

It took a year longer than I meant to, but I finally got to do my first suspension over the weekend.
Six-point angel, thanks to Unity Suspension in Detroit.
I loved it. Incredible experience.

[cw: in addition to the obvious meat hooks, I went up nude]

Good to see this is still active!
(or have I just slipped through the cracks?)

Congrats for your experience!!
Looks great as well!

Oh, that takes me back!! :unicorn_starstruck:
I miss properly working in a studio!!

Have you done that after the implant?
what strategy the artist used??

Yup, was done months after the implant area was healed up. Took a couple re-sizings of the stencil to get the center of the disk just big enough, and she tattooed around it.

oh, nice!
the centering was just by feels?

I was curious if someone came up with a better approach… XD

And thanks for the share!

Yup, feels and Mark-1 eyeball. And then she squished it out of the way and tattooed right around it, so the inner ring actually sits right on the very outside edge of the implant
