Just put together a little article about my experiences biohacking (specifically about my xG3, though I plan to expand it if I get more implants in the future).
Why no more magnets? What if new finger magnets are available?
As wonderful as it would be, the most likely reason I’d have to have my magnet removed is because of MRIs or other such medical procedures.
Adding more would make the removal more of an ordeal, and I’m not certain I’m on board with that potential risk and inconvenience.
Implants of other sorts, of course, don’t have such limitations.
Geez, you’ll be in danger of running out of flesh to stick things in if you keep that up. Ha ha
Well documented.
Good point about iron filings. Could be a pain at my workplace.
Cheers!
Regarding the iron filings, I wouldn’t be too stressed about it. You could always try sticking a magnet externally to your desired placement for a day or two and see how much it actually ends up collecting.
I knew some people had a lot, but that is madness. You’ll need to get another appendage grafted on at this rate.
Yeah. I have 3 in each hand and an apex on my wrist and feel I am out of space.
I did want to do an xG3 in my earlobe, but @Pilgrimsmaster made a good point and sanity reined.
I respect what others have done though and how they manage to keep track of things.
I would love to have more flex implants but was too scare when I started and now have used up the good spots.
Anyone considering a flex over a glassy should really go flex, although I love my glasses!
Depending on the placement, gloves, a bandana, or a simple band-aid may help you
Thats one of the features I like about ZINC,
and somebody like @Vicarious and @JennyMcLane would benefit from @Az_F new 3D body model he’s working on.
If you think that’s crazy, I want to replace my entire body with cybernetics. However, I don’t have that many implants, yet…
Or maybe that should be a:
Sigh. I’m still holding out hope that I can be uploaded to something functional before my flesh prison expires. In the meantime, I’m slowly working on more implants.
Also good ideas. Should be fine with placements I’ve considered, but iron filings and clothes to avoid them could both influence placement decision.
What’s wrong with the earlobe?
Apparently it has to be implanted by a professional (I use a friend who is a nurse and not a professional implanter), and because of the tightness of the area, it may not fit properly.
Plus having anything constantly attached to it can cause issues for the tissue between the magnet and the external object.
There are likely more reasons… I can’t remember, but it made sense so I didn’t do it.
It would be cool though!
I love that you came back to say this half an hour later. It’s obviously on your mind. ha ha
Lol. Yes. Maybe one day.
