New to this lifestyle and dont know where to get started

Hi, I am new to this and dont know where to start and am autistic so its hard for me to process what I am looking at. I am wanting to get a chip that is customizable to use with my phone to pull up things like website or file that I can share with other devices, like a digital business card or something.

I am also wanting something that I could use to get in and out of my vehicle. I dont know where to start and would like some help

Sharing data is done using NDEF records. If you want compatibility with non-android phones, the only record relevant is for sending links. So people use a link tree or link to a vcard hosted somewhere.

Cars are tricky–unless you have a Tesla. Otherwise you need to do some work to modify your car. This will vary based on year, make, and model.

OK, so is NDEF chips a thing? I just dont know what specifically im needing.

And ya, I would like to modify my vehicle, as its an older Ford and forget my keys sometimes and want to eliminate the key entering. Im guessing im going to have to get a ignition setup as I have door code already

For NDEF:

Technically, you can do it with MIFARE Classic as well which puts a bunch more on the table.

What kind of reader have you chosen for your car project? Low frequency stuff that works with EM4100s is quite popular. If you go that route, you’ll want something with a t5577:

Just here to help whittle down this list a bit. About every implant here is going to be wonderful, but:

If you’re looking for something to get started, I’d suggest doing with the cheap and easy xNT.

It’s only $25 last I knew, works with the xAC (a possible option for vehicle access), and will do all of the “NDEF things” with your phone. !!!EDIT-DOES NOT WORK WITH xAC!!!

If you want that exact thing but with better range, you might look into the flexNT, though the install process is more involved.

Alternatively, if you want to have extra capability with the standard xNT features, you can get the NExT which comes with that T55 chip in it as well. Same for the NExTv2 (this has a light for a little more cost). !!!EDIT-Implants with a T55 WILL work with xAC!!!

If you feel like deep diving a bit, you can also use magic (xM1, xMagic, etc) like @tac0s suggested, though I would avoid this if you aren’t willing to dive into the weeds.

For a more in depth guide, you can read through this:

You’re welcome to ask away if you have questions

The three major ones to look into for your use case IMHO are: xNT flexNT or NExTv2

Lots of options though, just a start ^^

Isn’t the xAC only LF at the moment? I know there have been some similar HF boards explored on the forum, but I don’t think DT has offered any yet

you have some great info below.

Let me just add these references for you also

Don’t worry, it’s hard for everyone. This is a very esoteric subculture

I agree i can be very overwhelming in the beginning. But don’t be shy ask lots of questions. I modded my car. It’s a ballake. But is possible.

@amal ya, its definitely hard. Im reading all of these posts to my question, but still extremely confused. I read alot of these posted and its all kind of going over my head. I almost need to be talked to as a child and have it all dumbed down. From what I am reading and understanding correctly, the NExTv2 would be what im looking for as far as my phone and being to upload and modify and use a a digital business card, correct?

As far as modifying my truck, im going to have to do some research and find a ignition system and go from there as far as finding my next implant.

I’ve been following your company for a while, and watched a video from a conference you did a few years back breaking it all down in Germany. I recently have been wanting to get back into the biohacking area, and modify my house and daily life to implement and improve everything for simplicity. Im also strapped for cash right now, and i know that your systems are state of the art as far as DIY, and reasonably priced, but during this time as im saving up money to afford a chip, definitely want to get as much knowledge and learn more about what to get and what I can do with it when the time comes.

I saw a video a few years back on YouTube from Scam Nation and started doing some digging and came across your company, I really want to get into computer coding and implement augmentation into it as well.

@Chimpofm, I want to do something like that, but my truck has the door code already, so want to swap my ignition to start it, and use the door code to get lock and unlock it. I saw a video a few years back of someone doing it to their motorcycle, but realizing i may need to install a killswitch as well to make it work

Possibly also @Chimpofm

A post was merged into an existing topic: How do i become an oficial distribuitor of Danderous Things?

That is one option, yes. The NExT is functionally similar too, it just lacks the light. They both also have the T5577 in addition to an NTAG-type chip, so they are both dual purpose (and could serve as an ignition key)

Sure. Soon as you can hot wire your ignition. a simple sexy will sit on those wires and hot wire it for you. When u scanny scan

@Not so the difference between the NExT and the V2 is just the light? Is there any other difference between them that stands out?

Effectively they are very similar.
NExT uses NTAG216 1kB (888 bytes) of user writable memory
The NExTV2 uses NTAG I2C Plus 2K so it has double the storage at 2k BUT the other 1k is not quite so easy to use because only the first 1k of memory is accessible for NDEF data.
You can read and write data to sector 1 with something like NFC Shell with special commands.

I’m pretty sure the NTAG I2C Plus 2K chip was inly chosen for energy harvesting…aka Blinky

So, other than the Blinky :blinky_blue: the difference is negligble.
