At long last the successor to the DT’s legendary NExT! With a t5577 on the low frequency side for emulating nearly any LF transponder and a NTAGI2C (the same chip as the xSIID) for sharing data using NDEF records–while also driving an LED of the color of your choice (green, blue, or white) while powered by an NFC field.
This is a great time to reflect on the question, “how long is Soon ™?” Many of us asked this question during the long wait between @amal mentioning UKI in 2016 through the Flex One Beta until the release of the Apex in late 2021 – finally! The NExT v2 appears to have first entered public awareness in 2022 (correct me if I’m wrong). Soon ™ might just be getting shorter…
Finally!
By the way, the video linked in the “Practical read range/performance expectation” expander is private, you might want to change that with the release
I’m in the same camp… blinky didn’t really interest me. I did get a couple blinky (Apex Mega Spectrum wink wink), but ultimately I don’t even look at them anymore and I don’t really show them off all that often. But, when I do talk about my implants… “I don’t always show off, but when I do show off, I show them the blink”… it always gets the best responses.
