NExT v2 -- FINALLY!

I saw this render on the vivokey.jp website of the NeXT2.

I was wondering, if it is close to how the real chip is designed what was the reasoning behind putting the RFID and NFC components at an angle?

I’m assuming that’s behind the 3mm width of the chip but does it impact read/writing range?

Looks like they are placed at an angle in reality.

It is probably done that way as to avoid making the device longer, and as a side benefit may help with the way the light refracts through the end cap:

Unlikely that it does in any major way. On some tiny level maybe, but this quote (below) suggests the opposite, possibly due to an increased antenna size or the angle of the antennas pushing each other closer to the glass.
