Problem reading FlexUG4 [SOLVED] Move the lube packet!

It was part of the flex fun bundle that i bought. Im waiting for my flipper zero to arrive, to test that too

This is my proxmark, with a (kind of) circle i drew where i had a repeater sticker
I removed it, because it made things worse: i was not able to even detect the Apex anymore

I had to find my exact implant location by moving it under my skin
When i found it, i lined it up perfectly with the serial number of the proxmark and pressed with a lot of strength
Still nothing

I’m using a generic PM3 Easy off Aliexpress I got years ago for like $20. Also have a “Proxmark3 X” from MTools, they both do pretty much the same thing. Placed FlexUG4 over the serial #, may or may not need a light bit of pressure but they both read it.

FlipperZero reads it fine (better with a MFGC), ChameleonUltra reads it okay also.

I see. I guess ill wait for my flipper zero to arrive in order to test reading it with that device

Edit: Could the P0 position be affecting it?

That I don’t know.

I have mine in P1 right hand. Just got it in Wed a week and half ago so it’s giving me some troubles right now with the PM3 because it’s still got a little swelling.

Got it installed the same exact day you did
Maybe it will manage to get a read in a few days?

My opinion, through my own observations and testing is that shouldn’t it affect it at all.

I have xSeries in both of my P0’s
and Flex Series in both of my P1’s

So it must be something else that affects the read from the proxmark

Btw, my flexUG4 is in P0, my Apex Flex is in P4 and my flexEM is in the wrist

I was curious about that. Based on the picture you sent me, I wasn’t sure if it was p0 or p11 for the flexUG4. Is it actually in p0?

Ah, I misunderstood, so I retract my previous statement.
YES, P0 could very likely be your issue, and if its not now, it certainly could be in the near future.

P0 is definitely not a reccomended location for a flex implant.

My reccomendation, but your decision
remove it carefully, test that it is still working, then reinstall in another location

P1 would be a good option for you.

Heres another pic to clear things up

I may have got confused with the positioning, but heres a picture to clear things up:

Green or blue? Basically, is it along the bone or in-between the metacarpals?

That certainly does.
I would say that is close to P11 (I have xSeries in each of mine)
P11 is colloquially know as the anatomical snuff box.

Would you say that’s where yours is?

In the middle. Basically its the imaginary line that forms the red UG4 letters

Could be. Im not 100% sure.

I will upload 2 more pics to help you:

It looks closer to p11 than p0 to me. It appears to be more or less along the bone–p0 is the no man’s land in the webbing between the thumb and index finger.

I see.so p11 is the more likely placement. Is it a good placement for the flexug4?

There is a lot of bending and flexing there, it wouldn’t be my first choice.
It’s perfect for my xSeries.

It will really depend on the actual placement and your anatomy.

I hope you have good success with it there.

Thank you. Lets see as the time goes by, if i can get a read with the proxmark and what the experience will be with the flipper zero!
