Hello! I bought a proxmark3easy a couple of months ago with you guys and im just getting to setting it up, i wanted to flash the iceman software cause i got it without but im running into the issue that device manager says “device descriptor request failed” i have already tried different ports and even got a specific data/power cable that should be more than enough to power the device but windows will still not recognize, could anyone here help me
the issue is windows not recognizing the proxmark, i already tried the button trick , i already uninstalled drivers and tried the trick again, windows refuses to read proxmark and add it as a device
correct. holding the button in while powering on and continuing to hold it should result in bootloader execution and COM port appearing in device manager.
Are you pressing and holding the button before powering up the proxmark3?
Are you holding the button for up to 3 minutes waiting for a COM port to appear?
what do you mean? There are no “drivers” needed for the proxmark3, except for extremely old OG proxmark hardware units that haven’t been sold for practically a decade.
Can you step through the process you went through when you first received it? To have it in this state means it’s not only lost the firmware but also the bootloader. That’s a pretty extreme case.
You mean like generate a help ticket? Contact through email? I just bought it and had it tucked away in my misc cabinet , completely untouched as it came
I don’t fuck around with Proxmarks
Any isuues that cant be quickly and easily remidied, I simply wipe the folders and stat a whole new fresh install.
Works every time.
Costumer service is umpeccable as always, i really appreciate your help here amal, i wish i could tinker and fix this unit but it seems its beyond my reach , replying now
