I’ve been quietly following this community for a while and just ordered my first injectables and I’m so excited for them to arrive! I wasn’t sure where to ask this, but does anyone have recommendations for reputable body modification studios in or around Massachusetts that do X-Series injectable installations? I’ve checked the “Professional Installation Partners” map, but some of the listings seem outdated, so I thought I’d reach out here in case anyone local has firsthand experiences or suggestions. I’m totally okay with a longer drive too!
I can vouch for Jay in Worcester, he’s on the partner map. I had my first install, a NeXTv2, done by him last year. I was there last month for something else, and they were still up and running.
Very professional and clean. Give them a call, mention you want a DT X-series install and they will walk you through it.
I went with the NExt V2 and the XGlow Implant! Honestly the heart xglow looked super cute but unfortunately; I scar really easily so I wanted to avoid getting cut more than necessary lol. I don’t have a hammy sticker or RSP, I was hoping I could just read and write to it with my Android phone and the NFC Tools app. Also no, I haven’t called around yet, I ordered last night and then the huge snow storm happened here lmao.
If you have any tips on how to use them I would be more than happy to hear!
I was planning on getting the Next V2 in the P0 location on my left hand; I’m still thinking of a spot for the XGlow. Do you think I could fit both in the P0 location on my left hand?
you don’t NEED one, BUT it’s a small investment for a HUGE and noticeable benefit.
I understand you’ve gone out, You’ve spent a bit of money on implants, now you have to spend a bit of money for the install and ontop of that, its just been suggested you spend more , granted it’s, just a little bit, but it does all add up.
I can confidently say I speak on behalf of everybody on the forum that i’ve ever used a repeater sticker, there are zero regrets.
I had my implants for many years without and yes, they were certainly usable, but the repeater sticker is truly a Mutha Fucken Game Changer.
You’ll go from muscle memory, high% reliable read success without the sticker, to don’t even think about it, slap your phone on and youll get 100% hit rate every time.
This is a conversation probably best had with your installer, as it will depend on your physiology
Ifbyou had reached out sooner, and as you dont appear to be afraid of a little scalpel work, I would have tried to steer you down the Flex route. (custom needle/ scalpel install)
The xSeries are a great option, the Flex just takes your experience to the next level.
However, in saying that, there is no need for buyers remorse, and P0 is an awesome spot and not reccomended for a flex implant.
The NEXTV2 is a great first implant,
HF NTAG216 which is highly compatible with many HF systems, it provides data storage ~888bytes and as you know, works with your phone.
LF T5577 - compatiable with almost every LF chip, simple and just works BUT you will need a writer to write to it. Most reccomended is the Proxmark3, normally a PM3 Easy, it requires a bit of knowledge and the learning curve can be steep, and generally you are tied to a computer (there is a phone setup, but can be tricky) ALTERNATIVELY the more expensive Flipper Zero, it is not quite as capable, but it is intuative, and does MOST things the PM3 can do, and it is more portable.
Blinky Most people love a bit of blink
but I guess any further advice will depend on how you intend to use it, or if you have any specific use cases…
Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely pick a few up then. I’m okay with spending a bit more if it makes reading them easier. I have a Z Flip 4 and if its anything like the Flip 5 in the placement guide, that means the antenna will be more towards the center rear of the phone unfortunately.
I was looking at the Flex implants and while they do look really cool, the NExT V2 already has everything I’m looking for plus a little more. I probably won’t even be using the RFID side of it as I don’t have any devices that use keycards. Plus I really like the Blinky LOL.
For use cases I was probably going to just store contact info on it for now, I do have a few really cool things I would like to try in the future once its healed and I’m a little more experienced. A huge draw for me was the 888 bytes of storage. I love the idea of having “on board storage”.
Yes, you can call the shop at 508-455-1948 and ask to speak to Mara, although I’m not sure if she’s back from Germany yet. I’m not sure if they do referrals or anything, but feel free to drop my name randy with the missing thumb.
