INTRODUCTION

RFID Padlocks are few and far between, and the quality leaves much to be desired.
I found this, Bought it, Tested it, and below is my review.

TESTING INCLUDING READ RANGES

Fresh Battery (CR2)

Works with

The range was contact and difficult to get a read, but I believe this was due to the sensitive touch pad, as the keypad was activated as soon as it is touched
I’ve tried foam, plastic and rubber to seperate skin contact.

xSeries were not able to be read

TEARDOWN

I may do this later, and see if the antenna is possible to move closer

• Works with ISO14443-A (UID Only)

• Has replaceable battery (CR2)

• Has key back up

• Has USB backup

• Appears more robust than it is

• Requiring an App to initialise / enroll can be a put off to some

• lightweight (doesn’t feel secure)

• Key appears to be generic (one key to open them all)

• The keypad is too sensitive

• Can be shimmed open

SUMMARY:
It’s not great, its a little difficult to get a read, but it is an RFID Padlock, it is usable…just

I’ve been sitting on this update for a little while, but it’s time to share.

Well
FUCK ME SIDEWAYS

What WAS a Disapointmet

Is now actually very useable with Hammys V1

Placed centre of the keypad over the symbol.
I now get approximately 10mm with both my FlexNT and FlexM1

easy reads.

I don’t have a FlexNT thats not inside me but I do have the equivalent of an unencapsulated FlexM1.

Tested on my “new” rig

I “wakes up” at 10mm
but if its already awake by touching the keypad, you get a constant 13-14mm read of the “FlexM1”

I just updated my rating to
realistically, a 3.75, but I rounded up.

I need to do some proper testing, including xSeries, if it works with an xSeries, that will be a Solid 4 Stars
