Okay thatā€™s it Iā€™m getting one. I find the price reasonable actuallyā€¦

Brace yourselves for some wild augmented reality - biomagnet shit. Which I will be sharing for whoever has one of course :magnet::rocket:

If I find a way to integrate it on Android then this is going to be crazy! Precise hand tracking + androidā€™s AR in unity?! Youā€™re about to touch unicorns :joy:

Done!

Hello @Pilgrimsmaster.
Yes, itā€™s ā€œbetadineā€ which contains iodine. And yes, he let it dry.

Itā€™s a me thing, not a you thing

I did consider it also, for the same reasons as you mentioned.
BUT
I decided to go case sensitive for a number of reasons.

I thought the same a while ago with xEM, thinking nothing of it, UNTIL somebody wrote
exempt
Its fine now though, because, the NExT was the outlier, so I made the watched word as ā€œThe NExTā€
Then somebody wrote
"The next implant i get will beā€¦:
So this prompted me to contact the Discourse developers, and after some back and forth, and a very long time later, they finally fixed it

So now, since I asked for the ability to be able to do it, I really should use it.

Plus, it also ā€œTeachesā€ people to write the implant name ā€œproperlyā€, and when they do, the reading of post become just a little more easy.

AND, the are some people that the ā€œblue linksā€ annoy (no idea why, it seems pretty inert to me), so this way there will be slightly fewer for them, but still plenty dotted around to make it easy for people reading a post/ thread of interest and a link straight to the webstore

hereā€™s a bit more info

Ok perfect. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for all that work!!

And I love the blue links. Cause then I can just click them and see directly what people are talking about.

One more thing. Cause I still donā€™t quite get it.

Between the Xmagic and the NExT, the Xmagic would also be able to open the HF lock for my bus right? Itā€™d just have to be programmed first?
Is that right?
Or is it a different chip type?
Where as the NExT comes preprogrammed?

Iā€™m thinking of getting one of each. The price difference isnā€™t important.

Thanks for redirecting me to where my questions donā€™t bug as many people. Haha. Trying to learn but itā€™s slow going.

Yes

Enroll would be easier
(use the ā€œaddā€ card, then swipe your xMagic)
Programmed, similar, but you would just copy a pre-enrolled card/fob and write that to your xMagic

yes, different chip types, but they are BOTH compatible with your bus lock.

I think where you may be getting confused is:
the UID (Uniquie ID)
The NEXT (HF side) has a UID number that cant be changed.
The xMagic (HF side) has a NUID (non-unique ID), meaning

I think this is a great idea, you will have 4 chips, and all very useful.
I also think you should get them sooner rather than later, becauseā€¦

I think once you have them, all will make sense.

Heres what I think you should do

Get both NExT AND xMagic (although, you probably really only need the NExT for your situation)
Put the NExT in the hand that you plan on opening your bus with.
Use your flipper to copy a current enrolled card and write the LF side OR the ā€œaddā€ card of your LF reader to enroll it into the reader
Then use the ā€œaddā€ card of your HF reader
and the to enroll it into the reader

From then on, you should be all sorted and never have to change them again.
You can also use your NExT for sharing a business card, or storing links etc.

With the xMagic, that, combined with your flipper will become your ā€œhackingā€ toys.
for making projects or when staying in hotels etc.

Hi Pilgrim!

As per usual. Thanks So Much for taking the time to reply.
Itā€™s hugely appreciated.

Such great information.

So, the HF lock wonā€™t be in use. For a long while. Maybe ever. I just want it to be able to work if I go that route .

And do I understand correctly that the Xmagic is better for hotel keys?
I was thinking of making it my predominant hand if so. Just for the heck of it.

I was secretly hoping to maybe talk Amal into doing the placement for both when I go to visit my brother this summerā€¦
Iā€™d seen him offer for some others and thought maybe I could inquire about it, if I went directly to him.

If not Iā€™ll look for someone maybe in seattle. Since thatā€™s the biggest place Iā€™ll be for a while.
.hoping to get it done before going to Mexico in November.

Anyways, much appreciated. And I always learn something and feel less newbish with your replies.

Ok. Back to checking out nuclear waste. Haha.

Yes, because the UID and the contents can be changed to match SOME hotels room cards.
It really depends on the System that the hotels use, but Mifare Classic 1k cards (Same chip that is in the xM1, xMagic, FlexM1, FlexMT ) are still frequently used in many hotels.
With a flipper or PM3 you can copy the card and write to your implant.

It is by no means guaranteed, but better odds than with an NTAG216 (Same chip as the xNT, NExT, FlexNT)

These implants COULD be compatiable, but pretty low odds, and you would need to ask the hotel to enroll your implant, and thats not always an easy thing to convince people to do.

Just got my key card. Maybe I shouldā€™ve made room in my luggage for a laptop and PM3 lol

Edit: Hey @Az_F, does your app have functionality for cloning Mifare yet? XD

Edit 2: If anyone is searching for cruise room key cards, adding this for search terms to possibly copy clone cruise room key card. Hereā€™s info on the Koningsdam ship from Holland America.

Not yet  Iā€™m too distracted by magnets

Correction: NUID simply means a 4byte UID, they are non unique since more cards have been made than 4 bytes can indicate. The xMagic can have its uid changed since it is a ā€œmagicā€ tag, something NXP never intended to happen.

Your correction is correct, and i knew somebody would pull me up on it.
I even guessed it would be you or Amal, as pedants (in a good way)
What i was trying to do is combine the magic and Non-unique together, to make it easier for heliloo to understand, without delving into the manufacture numbers of chips and the maths of it and NXP ran out of numbers
Youā€™re correct though, i should have taken the path of the Magic chips instead.

Infact, Iā€™ll edit my post now

Looks like a 7 byte ID to meā€¦ if itā€™s actually an ultralight then a magic ntag is the only thing you could clone to

Yeah, wasnā€™t sure if my FlexMT was up to it. I left behind the PM3 and laptop thinking I could pack clothes better and I probably donā€™t have the right chip under my skin.
Good info for next time though, whenever that might beā€¦
Can you have an implant and AzFlyer have his phone app all set before my next cruise?
No idea when thatā€™ll be but I want script kiddy shit in my phone XD
Jk, I need a flipper and all the future implants! Lol

A gen4 card could also work for ultralight hotel keys but there isnā€™t a gen4 implant yet.
