The anti🚫-derailment🚃 & thread🧵 hijacking🔫 thread🧵 ⁉

Honestly this has become one of my favorite threads

Me too!

2004 :arrow_heading_down:

I love this thread simply because it is open for every kind of discussion, thoughts that just cross my mind and that I like to share, news that fit nowhere else and all that - and it has widened my field of view a freakin’ lot, for I had the opportunity to talk to people I would have never met otherwise.
And since this community is pretty incredible, it is a place to discuss difficult things without raging (too much), so there is the possibility of actual understanding. Just love it here

This. I’ve learned a lot from this thread alone, about other countries, people in the community, everything. You guys are like a mini family to me crazy relatives and all

The #2020 post will be the absolute worst post since the posts of #1914 to #1918 and the other posts of #1939 to #1945

Anybody else feel like this forum leaves us spoiled?

I’m trying to fix my truck and posted on a truck forum. Might as well have asked the cat for all the good it did me.

It is definitely the first forum I’ve felt comfortable enough to regularly participate in. Whats wrong with your truck?

The few car forums I’ve posted requests for technical advice in seemed mostly populated by people who left school at a very early age - both in terms of grammar and basic technical comprehension, especially when it comes to anything electrical. I’m not surprised.

93 Chevy SWB. I nuked the 4L60E transmission in it.
I currently have P-R-N-N-N-2-1.
Preparing for a performance rebuild. I’ve rebuilt a stock TH-350 before, and I’m O.K. with that, I just have some questions about sourcing some higher end parts to match what I’ve already got. That and trying to find a source for a few pieces.

It was a long shot but I know very little about those specific things  I wish you luck with finding the parts you need.

Thanks. You’ve already been more help than a forum dedicated to my specific truck.

Man, I miss that truck. I’m a big dude and my daily driver is an 02 impala. Which I had to buy cause I had hit 3 deer last year in the truck. Luckily no major damage.

I’ve already hit my first one for this year. Smashed hood, bent fender, squished grill, one headlight knocked out, the other smashed to flinders. I just pounded out the dents, and I’ll get another headlight from the junkyard this weekend.

What I really need is a Mad Max style grille guard / deer splitter.

I feel this, having gone to school in a rural part of West Virginia. I saw some crazy ass deer.

I hate to be mean to the deer, but I truly hope that stupid grass maggot is dead.

I grew up in Kansas. Big beautiful grain fed deer. They’ll total a car for sure, but you can usually see them coming due to flat open terrain.

In Arkansas, skinny little deer, that pop out of the trees on a suicidal kamakazi dead run.
