If you can’t reliably source mitutoyos online, I’ve seen really good results with Accud branded tools, a few of the guys in my shop have them and we’ve never had issues with their QC or anything. YMMV of course.

Nobody tells you this, but you’re allowed to stick a humanoid torso on basically anything.

I’ve been saying this ever since I saw ASIMO as a child and saw how much harder it was to get it to walk than my quadrupedal Lego robots. We’re also free to change the number of arms, what’s attached at the end of those arms, and to replace the awkward head with camera stocks. I want one mounted to an articulated arm on the ceiling of a camper to do all the cooking and cleaning.

Our spam volume has had a large spike. Can’t say I’ve experienced such a marked level of ineffectiveness before.
