Oh I did, was just going for what seemed to be a sinus infection so I had no issue going to the urgent care down the street instead.

I expect it from people more my age I’ve experienced similar for years but this was a grown ass woman, like in her 50s talking shit about a 19 year old haha

So you think it’s age-related?

Bad news: you’ll find hypocrites in all age groups from all walks of life. It depends solely on the moral values you parents passed on to you, then those you develop for yourself if your parents’ weren’t up to much.

It’s not so much that I think it’s age related I just generally expect it less from people that should by societal standards be more mature

I was surprised to find out there used to be a handful of people in Des Moines with implants. Most moved away or removed early non-DT magnets.
Des Moines not exactly a lively metropolitan area.

Crappy people rarely change. Wisdom rarely comes with age, just arthritis. Worse: whatever character flaws people have when they’re young get worse as they age.

I guess I just expect too much aye

I live in a town of around 9,000. Within 25 miles there is one larger town, within 40, there are a couple more. But you don’t get to cities until you are closer to 50 miles.

Fair, I used to live somewhere similar in Illinois.
But you never know Farmers are hackers nowadays.

Felt this hard-core, according to the 2019 census the population of my town is currently sitting just above 1000.

Some places have curious ā€œspecialtiesā€.

For instance, until recently, 3/4th of all the velomobiles in the world were manufactured in a small nondescript Dutch town called Dronten. Mostly for historical reasons: the first manufacturer started there, then some employees created their own company, then other employees did the same, etc. But they all stayed within spitting distance of each other - quite literally.

Dronten has nothing of interest, apart from being the world’s capital for velomobiles. It’s very well known in that particular circle, but virtually unknown otherwise.

Matter of fact, while Dronten remains famous among velomobilers, a new, even more nondescript place has emerged as the world hotspot for velomobile production: Breaza, Romania. I’ve been there: if you want to experience what 19th century Transylvania was like, this is the place to visit. Yet it’s where most of the world’s fastest human-powered vehicles are made.

Maybe Des Moine has a vibrant but tiny community of biohackers that nobody knows about

Sounds like I’ll have to make a visit, sounds interesting.

We surprisingly have a very vibrant Punk and metal scene. It’d be cool to have local Biohackers to hang out with.

I must say, I would enjoy a chipmate or two to go have a brewsky with every once in a while, instead of being in my own club of one.

Yeah that’d be nice.

I’m not sure I would if they’re the ozone enema kind of biohackers.

That’s a good point. All that stuff just sounds like fancy snake oil to me.

I think the point that scared me most was when they started quoting one of them as saying ā€œN of 1ā€. Meaning a trial is acceptable if one person tested it and it worked for them. That’s not science that is voodoo.

I think most of that style of ā€œBiohackersā€ are just health nuts who are essentially just ā€œActivating their almondsā€ and other nonsense.

Got that Amazon rfid/nfc padlock

So far not looking good
I can’t scan the access card, so likely mifare classic? I’ll dig out my proxmark in a few

And using my detector card and field diagnostic card show a super weak field, the detector card barely illuminates, and the diagnostic refuses to light up

Interestingly the stock access cards are THIC, and pop open with a bit more than an inch air gap… so there IS definitely a field

edit 1
Was able to program a mifare iso card, so not looking to be nfc as claimedm

edit 2
I was able to get a ntag 215 fob enrolled…
Maybe I can enroll my purewrist… it clearly won’t read my x series but maybe the flex is big enough

edit 3
I wasn’t actually enrolling like I thought I was initially, but now I am… still no luck with any implants…
I’m going to try a non human grade chinesium ntag glass transponder…

edit 4
No dice rubbing a bare implant all over it yielded nothing, I can only guess it’s field is very incompatible

I don’t really see the point in investigating the included cards, since if you revert it to default factory state, any tag will open it… and I was still unable to make an implant work

Sounds like it was total junk and you’ll be returning it then?
