I grew up on the matrix, and honestly loved the first 3, the 2 sequels were admittedly less great at times⦠but Iāve never been one to board the hate trainā¦
I generally try really hard to take the good bits, and ignore the bad bits⦠because more is always better?
but I also donāt want something to ruin and leave a bad taste for the first 3
Now you drew another one out of me. If you want one
Are you aware of Outcome independence?
If not, to give you an example:-
If you let somebody out into traffic, it is where you simply donāt expect any response from the other driver.
So if you are the sort of person that gets worked up or fucked off because somebody doesnāt give you a friendly wave, you would benefit from Outcome independence.
A better approach is make it a game. āWill they or wonāt they wave?ā Then just judge them accordingly. No anger required.
āDo something because you want to, not because you want somethingā
Say Amal: can a used (undamaged obviously) flex implant be cleaned up / sterilized and implanted into someone else safely?
I know Backpackingvet has done it with his dogās tag, but that was glass. I understand DTās magic goop is supposed to be more non-stick than Supermanās teflon frying pan, but that doesnāt mean it doesnāt have crevices in which the original wearerās cells have crept, practically making it impossible to return to sterile, or whether the chemicals that should be used to do so are okay for glass but too harsh for the goop, that sort of thing.
Gently clean with pure soap and water using gloves. No abrasives. No fragrances etc. Then soak in 70% isopropyl for a few days. Agitate every so often.
Okay thanks. Probably more than a few days in the alcohol then, because the new recipient really doesnāt want to be exposed to the original ownerās juices.
I have two new year resolutions; getting my xDF2 implanted once the holiday celebrations end⦠And installing a new door intercom and access control system.
Maybe I should add an evil one or twoā¦
At least Iām going to have an augmented new year⦠And this is awesome!
And just remember - itās totally okay to not be perfect. Itās okay to have flaws, bad days, bad habits. Nobody has to be happy all the time. And most important - nobody is. Nobody on earth is perfect, everyone I know has some stuff to deal with, so I guess itās just a part of being alive.
