This is so amazing and beautiful! I always dreamt about shows like that, similar to the freak shows of old times, combined with a carnival, art, music, just a place where everyone can be free to be themselves and at the same time be amazed by all the things you see!
I think such events help opening the minds of all visitors, by confronting them with things you rarely see in a kinda “safe” setting - like, hey, it’s some sort of carnival, so everything is okay. Many people would be annoyed or scared seeing such things in “daily life”, but the carnival setting kinda… puts you back into this childhood mood of curiosity. Love it

And it’s soooo cool your dad was part of that!

It was so amazing just being in the presense of all of it.

There was also an unwritten rule of theatre bizarre that your costume couldnt be store-bought and had to be something you made. Which made the entire event so cool seeing everything that people came up with. It was just so amazingly surreal.

My dad was not part of theatre bizzare, just part of the dirty show with some of his pieces. He was a great artist and near the end of his life he started to really branch out into more abstract works and grow himself. He ended up getting sick in 2015 and i took time off of work, went back to michigan to take care of him. After he passed i was living in Texas and it took me about 2 years before i could bring myself mentally back up to Michigan to sort through his estate and catalogue his art. Going through it all made it feel like he had just passed and all that emotion was incredibly overwhelming. Im very fortunate to still have a good amount of his pieces but he was an artist for 50 years and there are thousands of his pieces around. Its kind of a pet project of mine to search around on the internet and find pieces of his that he has sold and see if i can re-aquire them.

have you hard of The McCollough effect Apparently it is an image, where if it is stared at for 15 minutes can temporarily distort the way your brain sees colors for up to 2 and a half months. Its wild.

15 minutes? I know you can stare at any color for even a short amount of time and your brain will try to normalize the opposite color but the effects seem to last for some function of time stared… but usually it’s like 30 seconds… so 15 minutes is quite a long time.

I remember studying the effect in my Cog Psyc class ages ago, they had some examples of the effect in use but you were only supposed to look at the images for a few seconds and it indeed did last about 10 minutes.

They were alternating colors arranged in lines and grids. and it left a lasting imprint on your visual field.

@Satur9 I have a random question for you. How is chip architecture developed? Like the individual traces inside the IC how they get drawn out along with the different components There’s such an insane amount of complexity I imagine there’s a lot of software do the heavy lifting right? I work in computer repair now, and I’m trying to learn as much about computer hardware engineering as I can right now. Both for fun and for eventually being capable of board level repairs.

Just watched a 3 minute video with the red/green lines. It’s neat how turning the original black/white image 45° takes away the color afterwards, then rotate it back 45° and the color comes back.

In regards to contacting keybot to tell their engineers to accept other chip types. Are there other organizations or contacts we can email to let them know there is interest in adopting the tech?

Surely you thought of this before with getting the major banks to be more lenient towards payment implants, but what about other mfgs? I wouldn’t mind sending a few emails in my downtime

Can we get an auto-link for Magic Ring V2? Or perhaps replace the Magic Ring auto-link to the new one

Really any lock or access control company. Sadly most are using the security features of chips to lock customers in vs give them choice or, actually secure their facilities with.

It’s not banks actually, it’s MasterCard and Visa… the payment networks. We’ve had banks banging on their doors to allow this but no, they are still too scared.

Would messaging them help any if at all?

Whelp, time to make our own Credit Card company

Messaging access control and door lock companies, yes… mastercard / visa… no. MasterCard called Fidesmo directly to tell them to tell us (VivoKey) to stop getting banks to hit them up about it because it’s not happening so we should stop.

For now I’m taking that advice because I doubt further beating on that particular door would be worth it… I do think there are other doors that lead to the same goal with MC/VISA that we are exploring, they are just a lot smaller and harder to get through.

Have you tried American Express or Discover? Just curious. Seems like the only other option
