Iām pretty sure that facial recognition is used by Colombiaās equivalent. They tell you that the metal detector selected you randomly for an additional search, and they yell that they need to test you for traces across the entire screening areaā¦ All of this after you had to change your flight two days before because of an emergencyā¦

Thatās coming, but the security flaws in what they do are unlikely to get fixed. At this point, I doubt that the whole thing is about security.
So we had a slight part in the partnership using facial recognition in the Delta terminal at DTW pairing facial analysis to your ticket number.
We utilize a product called Zenus and their behavior mapping algorithm. Iām the US at least your facial profile is already indexed through TSA using both drivers license and passport information. Pairing it with ticket information isnāt old. All they need is your consent to use the software in the front end.

Unrelated note. I have redesigned my field detectors. They function the same but come in fancy packaging and have a different antenna and silk screening.
