No thanks, I want to be mechanical. Besides, having flesh over the mechanical bits makes exchanging parts rather hard. And you loose things like temperature and cold resistance, the possibility to live in space, etc… I see no point in limiting myself to look human. Besides, facial tracking software can’t track you if you don’t have a human face, yes I’d stick out like a sore thumb but humans are not great at looking away from their phones and paying attention…

Yeah, no thanks… Pilgrimsmaster must be incredibly brave to be connected to it…

Finally took the time to look for the video. And I also like the little antenna.

Another thing that’s worth mentioning is that things like having built in night vision and thermal imaging can be useful. Especially if replicating the thermal side of touch turns out to be hard. But still, being able to tell the temperature of equipment is useful AF.

I’m also like the Gundam and Maddox designs, but I still want modularity to be able to hang out on wheels or go for a walk on digitigrade legs.

Trust me, the Internet should be scared of my consciousness. It’s dark in here and full of terror…

But having a covering over the mechanical bits might add some resistance to dirt and water intrusion?

True, but why wear a bag of salty water? O-rings and other gaskets are probably better and easier than engineering weird flesh.

Also, why wear clothes if you’re going full robot?

NGL, I’ve been thinking about charging my username ever since I read that.

I’m not sure if you are able to.
I think you have a 5 day window with which to do so after you set up your profile.
HOWEVER
Since it’s only a small change, and other users will still know who you are.
I can do that for you, if you would like…:hamster_emoji_gif:

So I’m replacing Fing with WiFiman… At this rate, I might end up replacing my phone with a proper Linux box, arp-scan, and nmap…

I have used Fing for years but it has become really clunky with each update. Can you please let us know how wifiman goes? You may just convert me too.

Dumb question … Can MCT work on ev1?

I see more and more of them in the US … One more reason for the UG4

WiFiman is great. One of my go-tos. On top of that, I would recommend Net Analyzer and PingTools. They both have a free and pro version. Even the free versions have very useful tools.

Glad this was brought up. Any opinion on zabbix?

Fing is nothing like the useful tool that it used to be when I started using it. Clunky doesn’t even begin to describe what they did to that app…
