Other end of the Island?

Time to buy a plane…

I should get into the experimental aviation side of things. It’s cheaper and more exciting.

Probably less than that but close:

Also, I think that I found the perfect place to move to:

No one will ever dox me if I do…

I’m not sure how many were allowed to leave our custody but apparently people are installing the bunk ones.

Not a final version, one of the fucky ones (sorry @tac0s, not sure if that was a no no). I was fully aware of the performance limitations, but still felt like it was worth having to mess around with. I promise I’ll pick up a real one as soon as they hit the store.

This is our main concern.

Second is that many folks have been patiently waiting for a long time for the v2 so we don’t want them to feel mislead when we are saying that we don’t have them but people are saying they have them installed. It would be helpful to be clear, in that regard.

Ultimately, it’s your body. :+1:

Got it. I’ll go back and edit, and be sure to clarify in the future.

Also Same Question Any update on BearsVsPenguinsV2?

Welp, I tried to be discreet :man_shrugging:t2::joy:

Why not both?

I have a better option, eliminate Wiegand and then Hegel. This will get rid of a horrible outdated protocol, the crazypants far right, and the crazypants far left.

I wonder if they were ever in the same room haha

I have a plethora of options I can select in how these multiClass readers export data but wiegand has the largest library.

Honestly I’m pretty impressed with how easy it is to update these readers and change settings.

I also see potentially how @XC-108 may be able to get her troublesome readers working…

Do tell! I’m so excited for the work you’re doing!

I think it’s only possible on multiClass readers so some of those old ones won’t work.

But…

Download the HID reader Manager app.

Setup an account, then choose USE NFC.

Tap your phone to the reader and if it recognizes it you can potentially change the settings.

To edit anything the app makes you power cycle the device. You could do it by pulling the power wire out and putting it back in. Once you do that you can access just if these configurations

In the intelligent power management there’s a power setting that reduces the polling frequency and power. Make sure this is disabled

I honestly had no clue these readers were as easy to mess with or as intelligent to be controlled with an app. It’s kinda spooky

That’s a REALLY cool discovery!

I think that the ones that give me the most trouble are the ones that are not multiClass, but I’m gonna try! This would be amazing!

I know that we have some multiClass readers at the HQ office, but I have found their sweetspot for the LF side of my NExT. I may still see if I can mess with them, but I have a lot less ā€œfreedomā€ to explore at HQ than I do in the manufacturing building where I am actually a senior engineer.

Dam someone was thinking …

But not all the way

I edited my statement. It made it seem like it could be configured without power cycling.

The unit has to be power cycled to read the configuration data and then again to write any new configuration.

I suspect that Many of these do not have special configurations
