At least it was polite and said please. I, personally, don’t see Skynet saying please. That has to be a step forward, right?
It said what Pilgrimsmaster and I are thinking. And we’re both polite.
I’m just missing the uploading bit…
This is why the dt version of stickers have nothing printed on them… guerilla use on unowned readers was expected… and now it’s happened in the wild
lol
This is still safe though right? It’s still a tokenized transaction so in theory sniffing / skimming shouldn’t be a concern?
The new version of my stickers has the logo only on the sticker side. I’m case people think it’s some skimming device they can go to the git and read what it does.
Well … actually… tokenized payment instruments which are passive is static until you retokenize so it’s just as vulnerable as a credit card to skimming. Phones get a new token each time in a complete online loop… so they are single use… but not passive tokens.
Anyway… people dumb anyway so I expect this sticker will be removed as soon as found. We’ll see. @tac0s let us know!
How does the retokenization work on cards then?
I would have figured the card did some fancy crypto-magumbo to generate it fresh each time
Your bank card is not tokenized. The only passive tokenized devices that I’m aware of are Fidesmo, wearonize, and g+d systems… these can be retokenized if necessary. Digiseq devices like walletmor cannot be retokenized.
This is the company I work for, although ATM manufacture was recently spun off into its own company. I’m an engineer in the Restaurant POS division.
[vent]Why is finding a decent smart lock that fits the mortise of an existing door and does not run chinise software so hard?[/vent]
How long will it take me to become one with the matrix?
Make your own?
The sticker is not only gone but the security guard is still hanging out. I can’t say i’ve seen them there after hours before.
Someone panicked over a tank circuit. Provided, I would’ve done the same if I didn’t know that it’s harmless.
Haha, right? But i would have checked the github link. Maybe a QR code is better? No typing involved haha.
New ones will be in shortly.
Same, but most people don’t know what GitHub is… Just like I don’t know what sleep is…
