If I could rate my best purchases of 2024, it would be the liteVNA and then the Pinecil V2. Seriously it’s an amazing little iron.

I’ve long been tempted, but haven’t been able to justify it given how infrequently I solder.
That’s completely fair. If your current iron has a cord attached to it then that’s reason enough since you can use a usb-C pd cable and power Bank.
You save room by buying it. Can clean up your work bench. And with how quick it is to get to temp you find yourself busting it out more frequently to do small fixes because it’s so convenient. And now that I am using heat set inserts on my 3d prints I use it even more.
I do however solder almost daily with some of my small projects and upcoming shop releases… before I would have to drag out the little station, and wait for it to heat. Do my little job, then wait for it to cool off so I can put it away. Not now. I added a strip of Velcro to it and I just keep it and my solder cleaner on my toolbox. So when I’m done, even if it’s still warm it just sticks on the side of my box in its home.
