Implant #9, āA Skateboard for Kongā starring Flexsecure!
Should we add a thread to announce and introduce new installers?
- Yeah!
- Psh, I do my own stabs
edit: sad, emojis work in the preview but not the actual poll.
Why would you be against this even if you are crazy enough to stab yourself?
Eh, an abundance of caution. In retrospect, maybe something more like, āNah, weāre exposed to enough advertising,ā would have been better. Regardless, you all seem keen so weāll get 'er done.
2025 is off to a fun start: Satan got arrested near my place.

Exactly! I quite enjoy my self installs, but support those installers. We need skilled hands to stab us at levels we canāt stab ourselves.
RGB mod?
Hammys one?
I picked up a Wi-Fi board, transparent shell, and RGB screen backlight.
I had intentions of installing the backlight, but my crappy little soldering iron gave up on me. It didnāt really get hot enough when I went to use it, so I decided not to proceed. Might pick up one of those fancy looking Pinecils.
I did switch out the case though. Itās lookinā really good. Also managed to clean out some dust and pocket fluff that had gotten between the screen and itās panel.
I did forget to put the iButton pins back in, but as Iāve never actually needed to use that functionality, and they have a tenancy to catch on my pocket, so I decided not to bother fixing it.
Once I get around to the RGB mod, Iāll update my Flipper Zero article.
@Pilgrimsmaster, could you edit (*****) NFC antenna amplifier/Resonance Circuit V1 & V2.1 to include a link to Hammyās new website since thatās where MFGC points?
Thank you
Good call, thank you Aox
If I could rate my best purchases of 2024, it would be the liteVNA and then the Pinecil V2. Seriously itās an amazing little iron.
Iāve long been tempted, but havenāt been able to justify it given how infrequently I solder.
Thatās completely fair. If your current iron has a cord attached to it then thatās reason enough since you can use a usb-C pd cable and power Bank.
You save room by buying it. Can clean up your work bench. And with how quick it is to get to temp you find yourself busting it out more frequently to do small fixes because itās so convenient. And now that I am using heat set inserts on my 3d prints I use it even more.
I do however solder almost daily with some of my small projects and upcoming shop releasesā¦ before I would have to drag out the little station, and wait for it to heat. Do my little job, then wait for it to cool off so I can put it away. Not now. I added a strip of Velcro to it and I just keep it and my solder cleaner on my toolbox. So when Iām done, even if itās still warm it just sticks on the side of my box in its home.
Edit: auto correct made this post almost unintelligible
Done and you are welcome
Old posts with MFGC may still point to the Tindie store, But Iāll fix 'em as I find 'em
Indeed
And 0.02 seconds later: full search of site completed and all links fixed.
