Not in my 8x8 office where I’m in zoom meetings all day

Gotta prank them one day by attending a meeting from a Cessna! If they tell you to turn the engine off, tell them that the pilot won’t let you.

awesome… i’m actually going to be changing over to ubuntu on that server from windows… bought two GPUs to shove into it so i can start futzing with ollama with openwebui.

I’m more of a CentOS fan when it comes to servers. But it has several drawbacks, starting with limited package availability on the default repositories.

ELRepo is a necessity on the enterprise linux side of things.

Updated the firmware as the thing had a bug that makes it crash when checking the logs…

:man_facepalming:t2:

:joy: That is hilarious.

Love it. I use a KeyChron Q11 split keyboard every day at work.

The release notes for the latest firmware state that it fixes a ton of random little crashes… I also have suspicions about LLDP, so I disabled for the time being. But I might leave it disabled, it’s a tiny home network so I don’t really need it and I like the idea of reducing the potential attack surface.

Let’s hope this solves my problem, or at least lets me access the logs to diagnose the problem. :crossed_fingers:t2:

I should make some time to go through everything, harden everything, then fuzz and/or reverse what’s left…

Keychron K2 was my first forray into mechanical keyboards, then i got the Q1 that got me into modding them. I added an OLED to my Q1, and then started with custom mechs.

My first was a Corsair TKL, but I can’t remember the exact model. Now I have a 65% keyboard and I love it. But a big part of it is that my ROG keyboard has a significantly better fit and finish. And it came with PBT keycaps, those are definitely worth the upgrade over ABS.

I thought, one of these days I should join a keyboard forum. Now, it appears I already have. This community is awesome.

Indeed a good solution
I didn’t broadcast that, because I didnt want people to use that to then install a cheap (fragile) “xFD”.

We are nearing 20,000 posts in this thread, so the chance of somebody seeing it, is probably pretty low.
And if they read this far, they probably realised it is a bad idea.

They are probably more likely to figure it out on their own

Fixed

Well … Not anymore :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
I got the switches in today, installed them and it worked for 2 minutes then in the middle of testing the key map, one side decided to stop reading any keys, and doesn’t even want to go into boot … still output the addressable LED which is wiered …

This is not going well …

Any idea what the issue is?

Sounds like one side is stuck in a empty layer

Speaking of Gen1a/Gen2 goodness:

Picked up a Gen1a Blue Bambino recently, but it wasn’t just a Gen1a. As far as I can tell, it’s a ZUID!

So, if you have a Gen1a version and you’ve been wanting to do Gen2 direct write on it, it might be worth checking yours

bluey

No such luck on the FauxFob though
