Does the box have a space for adding a ground bus? You can probably order a buss kit from lowes or a supply house.

Knowing full well how to do it right, thatā€™s probably what Iā€™d doā€¦ Because I donā€™t have enough energy to deal with everything and that makes me lazyā€¦

You gotta start working on the xBatteryā€¦ I could use oneā€¦

2 simple reasons.

  1. I donā€™t like twist ties, so I on products that use twist ties, I replace them with bread clips once they are opened.
  2. I like them. Their colors appeal to me.

Not necessarily in that order.

in a pinch theyā€™re a good snack too!

This = living life awesomely.

Itā€™s the one advantage of being a single adult with minimal commitments. I do what I want, when I want, how I want. Aaannnnddd, the consequences are all mine too.

My partner fully supports my bread clip collection. You just gotta find the right person.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Chip compatibility matrix - Google Sheets

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY (x3 enough?) recommend Johnross Switz for installs. He and I have been messaging back and forth for months, and he finally happened to be in my area (Akron, OH) doing guest work for other piercing studios. His shop is in Philly if you donā€™t happen to catch him traveling.

He came to my house! Did two x-series installs in my dining room (from the wrist side) and then we ate BBQ. Heā€™s extremely talented (does serious body-mod stuff for a living, one of the top names in tongue splitting) and super nice. Iā€™d fly to Philly in a heartbeat to have another install done had I not had the unique chance for him to come to me.

Hereā€™s his Instagram link:

This is the best life advice. My partner hasnā€™t stopped or argued against a single one of my hobbies yet, or the consequences of them. A recent example being my loud ass 3d printer going right in our office.

yeah by the 2nd week of owning my ender i was like, this is obnoxious and i put some time into quieting it up.

Built a case for it from 2 Ikea Lack tables and made a plexiglass case. Switched to a Silent Motherboard, upgraded all the fans to Noctuaā€™s, updated the powersupply. These things made it whisper quiet. Then i got my server-rackā€¦

Iā€™m not into meatbag Playboy photos, are those supposed to be about someone you want to be like, or about someone you want to be with?

In either case, they perpetuate toxic beauty standards for women as well as gender stereotypes and expectations based on our stupid patriarchal society.

:face_vomiting: :emoji_vomit:

I want an upgrade.

Real talkā€¦ just curious on opinions

Does all the talk about becoming a robot or uploading into the cloudā€¦ actually stagnate the progress of biohacking/grinding? ā€¦obviously to a degree we are talking tongue in cheek here in this thread
(No offense @enginerd, I believe your desire to be pure and meaningful)

I feel like it has similar energy to vr when people are like ā€œIā€™m not interested until it can -insert thing 20 years out at the earliest if even possible-

Like nearly EVERY conversation I have with people who know about my implants
ā€œSo when are you uploading to the matrix? Hur hurā€
ā€œSomething something robot referenceā€

Trying to discuss with people the simple and low hanging fruit Iā€™d be interested in from BCIā€¦
-the ability to keyboard/mouse faster than with hands
-the ability to read muscle control signals to mirror control to something like VR, or robot arm, or exosuit
Etc

And itā€™s always likeā€¦ ā€œthatā€™s lameā€¦ I donā€™t care until itā€™s like ready player oneā€

When/where do we draw the line of focusing on whatā€™s plausible with our current tech, and whatā€™s an unproductive daydream?

Just discussion

I think this kind of reaction is always going to come from a certain contingent of the population. It happened when people got excited about NASA going to the moon, it happened when people got excited about star trek, and it happens basically all the time.

It would be a mistake to let these comments detail excitement in general about the broader aspects of what is currently scientific fiction. A number of generations were inspired to turn star trek science fiction into science fact. For every few jokesters out there thereā€™s someone who legitimately gets excited about this kind of stuff, and every few of those people take steps towards achievements related to those aspirations.

I donā€™t think it harms biohacking reallyā€¦ not if you donā€™t let it.
