Get well soon! I’m pretty sure that every 'borg on the forum wishes you a speedy recovery!

:robot_windows:

Sounds like an awkward and scary situation.

Nice!

ā€œPresumed surgically placedā€ No shit Sherlock! How else are you going to get RFID implants? These are very different from shrapnel.

However, those must’ve confused the radiologist. Chances are that this was the first time that they encountered these devices.

If you open a ticket with an order number we’ll send you an MR card for your x-series chips

Thank you! I’m already on the mend. Got a few months before I’m back to before!

With blinkie and magnet demonstrations, i wasn’t worried. The ortho wanted an MRI of my fractured vertebrae to decide if surgery was needed. Radiologists said we’re not comfortable given his statements of metal in his hands so let’s xray first.
Thankfully surgery was not needed!

Yeah! That gave me a good smile in the hospital lol

I think i remember one person from the trauma and ortho teams had heard about it, everyone else was surprised.

Lol thank you! Unfortunately the magnets still disqualify me for MRIs

That may be true, but in a situation where an MRI is pretty much a 100% needed and you need to remove the magnets, it (helps) prevent doctors from going ā€œYeah I want that xMagic gone tooā€.

Plus hey, the card(s) are free.

Good point. Didn’t think about that.
In my situation I was able to get a CT scan with contrast again, just like the time before that I ran into an MRI issue. Maybe I should get a card before I mess myself up even worse lol

Another good point. Free DT swag, idk why I said no!

What if I have moved since the last purchase? Can you send the card to a new address?

Of course! Just let us know in the ticket : )

Thank you!
I made a big move for a new job, and within the first week, I take a 20+ foot (6+ meters) fall and wind up in the hospital lol
Thankfully I’m doing well, and still have the job!

Ha, I don’t know what that means…but it sounds good!?

This I understand…

Nascar?

I guess I know who I’m hitting up when I go to Florida

Seriously though, I’m glad you are back, in good spirits, still have a job and not dead…

Thats good news all around

Haha not horizontal. I wish I was a race car driver!
Not quite NASCAR, not quite F1, IMSA is kind of a mix?

Good buddy used to work for vorschlagg. He did most of their photography at pikes peak. I’m assuming it’s similar?

Nice! I love Pikes Peak!
I’m an asset relocating specialist…I drive the semi truck lol
Hauling the car, gear, etc. Cleaning, fixing, and stocking the truck. Also building the timing tower on pit lane.
I was participating in pit stop practice hoping to make it on pit crew until my fall. That’ll have to wait a few months.

One thing I just can’t let go of is movie scripts completely disregarding thermodynamics… the basic premise as to how energy moves and works in the universe. The most recent example of a movie I rewatched is I Am Legend. The ā€œDarkseekersā€ (the infected humans) are described as having a core temperature of 106 Fahrenheit, a pulse of 200 BPM, and elevated respiration and oxygen saturation… yet they sit around all day in the dark and seemingly have no elevated need to fuel all that heat generation. Imagine a bear that hybernates by elevating metabolism. Whoever wrote this shit needs to get locked in a freezer… see how thermodynamics really works.

What does that even mean!? Instead of having a healthy saturation of 98% it’s of 100% or what?
