They used to have those faces in the old haunted house attraction at Dinseyland. I don’t know if they’ve redone the ride since then. Probably remade it after they made a movie of it, like they did with Pirates of the Caribbean.

So I’ve been sick the whole week and feel like I’m recovering pretty well at this point… but this sickness has been weird. It’s totally nuked any appetite but also very strange… the sense of needing to urinate is gone. Like I have a full bladder… but it’s almost numb… the only reason I went pee the last couple days is basically schedule… morning… go pee… but had no urge or sensation that I had to … and boy did I have to. Wtf could be dangerous to kidneys if you just didn’t go

I’ve heard of people neglecting the other two of the three basic needs, but I didn’t know it was possible to lose the sense of that need. I’d’ve thought if you couldn’t feel it it would eventually just… leak.

You too? I’m recovering from a sinus infection but I’m not 100% out of the woods yet…

Get well soon, Amal!

yeah it’s very odd… i’ve never had that before… but there is a distinct sense of disconnection with the body… almost like i’ve been floating around the last few days. i think the PC muscles and other various muscles that hold back the urine are effectively operating involuntarily and you have to kind of order them to relax. if you’re not getting the signal to do that… no sensation of fullness from your bladder… then it’s up to you to figure it out and go pee… which is odd… a bit like telling yourself you need to take a breath every time.

Urine can easily begin backing up the ureters before the pressure is such that it may force itself out, so kidney damage is a possibility. people have done that to themselves doing stupid ā€œpee holding challengesā€ before.

Its a good thing we have an anti-derailment thread for all the topics we get ourselves into.

I feel like there would be the human equivalent for humans…
:man_shrugging:

Not to say somebody didn’t…

I think this was done grinder style. Both Money and FDA beauracracy would stand in the way otherwise. But if you just ordered extra large german sheperd fake nuts…

I may just remember someone suggesting it, not actually doing it. It’s been too long and I’m getting old.

Sunday though:
Should we write a waiting list for magnets? I kinda lost track… Maybe a new batch comes into existence once demand is high enough to generate profit? Maybe

Which magnets? I’ve got some ideas for this year based on a new material we’re working on.

The successors of the Titan

At the moment, DT does not have a specific successor in mind for the Titan. We do have more magnet options in the works, but nothing I would specifically call a successor to the absolute tank of a magnet the Titan was.

There is more discussion going on about the new material being worked on in the dt club … when it’s time to declare new products, actual announcements will be posted to the announcements category though.

Why is it when smoke alarm batteries go flat it is always between 1 and 3am?

For the last three nights now I have had some electronic device start randomly beeping at the same time. It goes long enough to wake me up but not long enough to track by sound. I have literally taken every bloody electronic device out of my bedside drawers progressively over the last few days to try and identify it. All devices are completely flat (eg old phones and smart watches).

I still can’t find the damn thing.

Rant over.

PS I guess I will be posting again at 2am my time tonight… Sigh.

Now you’re going to really wonder about it.

I actually thought it could be the kids pranking me with something via remote but I checked and they both were sleeping, as was the wife.

I am getting that paranoid!
