Garlic is love

Garlic is life

My grandmother will literally eat an entire raw onion like an apple. Has always grossed me outtttt. I’d raw dog garlic any day, though

You just want to see my die while throwing up, don’t you?

Multiple people in my family would do that on occasion, and still do.

Better get working on that robo-bod so you can’t do that.

Ooh! One of my people! Why does everyone love that stuff so much?!?
It actually gives me a very sour stomach, gas, and reflux if I eat it in any noticeable quantity.

That might explain a thing or two…

I moved to another country and there’s even more garlic here than where I used to live. And I’ve powered through on several occasions even when I hate the taste… I need to treat myself better

Why do they put it in everything!? I want more garlic free options.

Agreed. I have to be careful when I’m at a restaurant. It doesn’t have a place in my home kitchen at all, and I’ve never been told that my food isn’t garlic-y enough. I don’t think most people would even notice that it’s not there if you make good food without it. Maybe it’s a cheap option to more robust spice profiles…

I’ve been using Lansoprazole lately, and it’s helped. I still avoid the stuff, though my day-to-day reflux is much better.

Here’s the thing, I got lazy this weekend and cooked the pasta that I had with some butter and tomato sauce. It rained cats and dogs so I didn’t go out at all… Then I realized that things were better this morning when I woke up before the alarm.

I also have to finish the DM that I was going to send to Amal about the stomach issues. I’ve been busy and lazy. :flushed:

#1 reason I decided against going electric when buying my last vehicle. Poor support for cash payments at the charging stations. I don’t typically use cash, but those who do should be allowed to.

Have you read his (chris boden) books /ebooks?

No but I have credits to burn…

did you consider PHEV or Hybrid?

For the most part, if I visit a store, restaurant, or other thing in my city that doesn’t allow me to pay in cash, I usually don’t return. Many places in my area don’t allow you to pay with anything larger than a $20 bill, so I’m often screwed as a pull my cash out of my bank a few $50 bills at a time. I usually avoid these places too, but am less strict about it.

An example of a ā€œ$20 bill or underā€ place was a coffee shop nearby. Was a Biggby. Me, my SO, and a close friend met up there for the first time in forever for sandwiches and coffee/tea. Bill came out to something like $32 or so, not horrible all things considered. I decided to just pay for all three of us, why not. Bust out a $50 because the rest of my cash came out to twenty-something. And they decline the money. And I had watched someone else pay with a five and a ten less than five minutes before me.

Like I understand that they don’t want to empty themselves of small bills when someone pays with a large bill for one medium coffee, but when my total order is more than any of the bills you accept and my change is smaller than some of those bills, I simply do not understand it.

Depends on the state if they have a policy that cash has to be accepted.

Per the Federal Reserve:

There is no federal statute mandating that a private business, a person, or an organization must accept currency or coins as payment for goods or services. Private businesses are free to develop their own policies on whether to accept cash unless there is a state law that says otherwise.

Like MA - General Law - Part III, Title IV, Chapter 255D, Section 10A

No retail establishment offering goods and services for sale shall discriminate against a cash buyer by requiring the use of credit by a buyer in order to purchase such goods and services. All such retail establishments must accept legal tender when offered as payment by the buyer.

So check your local laws and see if it’s required where you’re at

The devil is in the details… this law only applies to credit (with consumer interest and associated fees). It does not actually speak to payment method (digital vs cash). Debit cards and credit cards with grace periods for purchases do exist. I don’t think this law could be applied to enforce the acceptance of cash as payment.

For example, Dangerous Things is soon to release a specific product for which we will only accept space goats as payment.

Going to start shopping for space farms… Hopefully there’s a DT Club discount and I won’t have to buy too many space acres.

If you want to think about currency exchange, I would so love to grab me a space goat.
