Shipping & Fulfillment Progress: Regional Breakdown
So far, we have successfully fulfilled over 3,500 units.
Thank you all for your incredible patience and support. We are pleased to share the latest progress on getting the MonstaTek M1 into your hands. As we have become more familiar with our warehouse and logistics platforms, Gosincro and Easyship, we anticipate that the fulfillment process will become quite a bit smoother moving forward. Here is exactly where we currently stand with shipping and fulfillment across our different regions:
United States
Status: Fulfillment Ongoing
We are actively processing the remaining US orders, and shipments will continue rolling out steadily. Because the bulk of our orders are US-based, we anticipate that it will take the entire month to completely fulfill them. For some of our later backers (specifically those with backer numbers over #10,000), fulfillment may spill over into the beginning weeks of May. If you have not received yours yet, please keep an eye on your inbox for tracking information.
Canada
Status: In Transit to 3PL
Canadian units are currently in transit. Once the bulk shipment clears customs and arrives at our local 3PL warehouse, the team will begin individually packing and shipping your orders. We will keep you posted as soon as they hit the warehouse floor and begin their final leg to you. We previously outlined the entire process in Update #29.
European Union & United Kingdom
Status: Certification in Progress
We have made solid progress with the required certification processes for the EU and UK regions. We are pushing to have this fully completed toward the end of this month so we can immediately prepare your units for shipping. We apologize for the extended waiting period, but we must complete this step before we can ship to the EU or UK. This ensures the hardware is fully compliant and avoids any customs holdups.
Asia
Status: Dispatching by Country
Fulfillment for our backers in Asia is currently underway. Because backers are spread across many different countries in the region, some with only a handful of orders, we are dispatching these on a rolling, country-by-country basis depending on volume.
Please note that last-mile delivery times will vary significantly depending on your exact location, customs procedures, and local courier networks. For example, some deliveries will only take about 2 days, while deliveries to countries with more complex customs processes, such as Indonesia or the Philippines, can take up to 20 days or more. We greatly appreciate your patience as we navigate these localized logistics.
Oceania & Rest of the World
Status: Awaiting Logistics Details
We are currently waiting for additional details from our logistics partner regarding shipments to Oceania and the rest of the world. We will add a pinned comment to this update in the next couple of days as soon as we have more concrete information to share.
Important: Potential Fulfillment Delays
While our team is working hard to get every unit shipped, there are a few common account issues that can flag your order in our system and delay fulfillment. Please ensure your pledge manager is fully up to date to avoid the following:
Incomplete Pledge Managers: If you never finalized your details or left your selections sitting in your cart without completing the final checkout step, your order is unconfirmed and we cannot ship it.
Last-Minute Address Changes: If you updated your address after we already locked the data and sent it to our fulfillment partners, your shipment may be delayed.
Missing Phone Numbers: Couriers require a valid recipient phone number to complete delivery. If your profile is missing a phone number, the warehouse software will stall the shipment.
-MonstaTek Team
Testing is currently underway. So far the only way to read any xseries implant is with the enhancer.
The extender works with cards but infrequently. I believe that is because the scanning function of the M1 has very slow polling and power.
Iâvev sent units to the M1 team for their testing as well as worked with some of the independent developers about increasing the polling frequency. Hopefully a firmware patch will make it more functional.
My biggest gripe at the moment is the current design of theHF and LF antenna. The LF antenna is a copper wound coil placed directly above the NFC coil with a RF shield separating them. I believe this blocks a lot of the NFC field.
M1 extenders and enhancers are now available. Just got the approval from the M1 team!
Approval???
Can you explain?
They put out an inferior antenna, and you âfixedâ it.
What approval would you need?
So Iâve kind of stumbled into this a few times and got my hand slapped (quite hard) before. So I went the proper route.
With my flipper zero offerings I didnât reach out to flipper when I made my product names and I should have. Thankfully they didnât mind so much so I didnât need to change it.
Defcon and I went rounds to use their logo and settled on providing them a fee for every unit sold.
With Monstatek I approached them. I needed a way to show proper positioning of the sticker. The back of the M1 is completely symmetrical unlike the flipper that has a pretty easy to determine outline of how the sticker is supposed to go. M1, not so much. But it has the Monstatek logo right in the middle. So I asked permission to use their logo that way it is a no brainer on how the orientation should be. Which is pivotal on placement for this device because there literally is very little areas that the signal actually gets through the RF shield.
In exchange for using their logo I says Iâll send them the first samples and wait to hear their notes before I continue. They were thrilled with it and so here we are. I have the permission to use their logo, and name.
This is the matter of having, Monstatek M1 Field Enhancer, vs Field Enhancer for the Monstatek M1. Pedantic I know, but it looks much nicer on the PCB. And it strengthens my relationship with them, which I canât fault.
Also I want to point out, I donât believe their antenna is bad. I believe itâs nerfed by their firmware right now. Polling rate and power are reduced in firmware from what I can only imagine is to pass FCC approval. I think(ie. I know) there are firmware improvements underway that fix this.
Ah, that paints a far better picture overall, thanks for explaining, I did guess it had something to do with marketing/ branding/ trademark etc.
Smart decision and good approach
RGB boards now available as well.
I ordered mine last night (along with other goodies
)
$25 is a good deal honestly. Most places gouge you on custom stuff like that.
I probably wonât upgrade mine until I know I can buy another if I break it. I suck at microsoldering and most likely will break my M1 doing that mod.

Anybody else here waiting on their M1 or is it just me?
I had to raise the prices of the original RGB mod too. I redesigned it so it can work with all versions of flipper so it needed pcba on the front and back. So cost went up as well as tariffs and shipping. With the original RGB mod I could do large bulk orders. With this I was unsure it would work.
you arenât alone, me too lol.
crazy. like a month and half ago they sent me one out of the blue to do first impressions and tell them everything wrong with it. im suprised people still havent got theirs.

Kickstarter Update: Firmware, Power Management, and Shipping Update
Hey everyone,
We want to share an update on the M1 firmware, public GitHub release, power management testing, and fulfillment progress.
GitHub Migration and Firmware Releases We are moving our primary communication and technical updates to a more transparent system. We are currently finalizing a dedicated web app for project updates, but in the meantime, we have completed the migration of all documentation, source code, and firmware tracking to our public GitHub repository. This move allows you to see real-time progress on the codebase and access the most recent technical guides as they are updated.
The latest public release currently available on our GitHub is firmware v0.8.0.2. This release includes work on Universal Remote, bug fixes, and updates connected to the infrared database. This is an important step for the M1 because it moves more of the firmware work into a public place where users, developers, and the community can follow progress directly.
The central hub for the project is now live. The repository includes source code, build information, project documentation, hardware details, license information, and contribution guidelines: GitHub - Monstatek/M1: Monstatek M1 Open Source Repository. ¡ GitHub
For the latest firmware builds and version notes, visit the releases page directly at: Releases ¡ Monstatek/M1 ¡ GitHub
We will follow up with specific instructions for using these resources while we finish the web application for updates. The public repository includes firmware work across the main M1 feature areas, including NFC, LF RFID, Sub-GHz, Infrared, Bluetooth through the ESP32 co-processor, WiFi through the ESP32 co-processor, battery monitoring, display support, and USB support for CDC and MSC. We know many backers have been waiting to see more open development around the M1. This release is not final , but it is a real step toward making the project more transparent, easier to build on, and easier for developers to contribute to. GitHub will remain the main place for public source code and firmware releases, while broader fulfillment updates will continue to be shared here.
Power Management Testing We also want to explain one of the reasons fulfillment and firmware work took longer than expected. During testing, we identified some software-side power management issues. At first, we were concerned because power-related issues can be difficult to diagnose correctly, and we did not want to continue pushing units out until we had a clearer understanding of the root cause.
Power issues are especially difficult to identify because the same symptom can come from several different places. A device turning off unexpectedly, waking incorrectly, draining battery too quickly, reporting the wrong battery level, or not entering a low power state can look like a battery issue, a charging issue, a firmware issue, a component issue, or a board-level issue.
Because of that, testing can be very hit or miss at first. A device may behave normally during one test, then show the issue only after charging, sitting idle, powering off, waking back up, or running through a specific sequence. These issues often do not appear immediately, so they require repeated testing over time instead of one simple pass or fail check.
Fortunately, after investigation and additional testing, this was identified as a software-side issue rather than a hardware issue. Even though the root cause was not hardware-related, it still created a delay because we had to test carefully and make sure the fix was stable. Power behavior affects charging, shutdown, standby, battery reporting, wake behavior, and long-term reliability, so we felt it was important to take the extra time to test this properly before continuing at full speed.
Shipping and Fulfillment Update Shipping is still actively ongoing, and rewards are continuing to move through the fulfillment queue. We recently received an additional 1,000 devices. This is progress and it allows us to continue fulfillment, but it is less inventory than we expected to have at this stage. Because of that, this batch will help move the queue forward, but it will not clear all remaining orders at once.
These units still need to go through the normal fulfillment process before tracking is issued. That includes receiving, checking, matching units to orders, packing, labeling, and handoff to the carrier. Tracking is usually not generated until an order is packed or scanned, so some backers may not see tracking immediately even though their order is still in the queue.
Shipping the M1 is also more complicated than a simple domestic package. The device includes a rechargeable battery, radio hardware, and region-specific compliance requirements, so each shipment has to move through the correct battery handling, customs, certification, warehouse, and carrier steps.
For regions that require additional certification, we cannot ship devices until the required clearance is complete. This mainly affects regions such as the EU, UK, and Australia. Once we are cleared to ship in those regions, we will continue fulfillment based on the queue and available inventory.
For regions that are already moving through fulfillment, the newly received devices will be allocated and shipped in sequence as they are processed. We are also continuing to coordinate additional inventory so fulfillment can continue beyond this batch. We will provide solid dates as we receive further confirmation.
If you have an order-specific question, please email support@monstatek.com from the email address associated with your Kickstarter account and include your backer number and country. This helps us verify the order and check the correct fulfillment region.
Thank you again for your patience and continued support as we continue shipping rewards and improving the M1 firmware.
-The MonstaTek Team
Big update, and lots of progress.
I guess, whilst those of us who are still awaiting our delivery, the firmware will continue to improve, so thereâs that
Plus I already have my Midwestgadgets.org M1 accessories ready to go
Now, back to waiting
only 3 ½ months after the first deliveries
