HI Guys I am getting error when trying to write to my nfc tag all of a sudden
saying this nfc tag is not supported I have a dangerous things led nfc tag I bought a prob 8 months ago, I am using iphone 15 and using nfc tools

RE your xsiid, is it ndef formatted? what was the last thing you wrote to it

the last thing I thought I wrote to it was just to go to a webpage, and that is all I have really done with it.
I am new to this so I am not sure if it is ndef formatted, when I read it it says Mifare ultralight tag type ISO 14443-3a type A then the serial number
do you have a case on your phone? try taking it off and using the top edge of your phone as the probe when writing
yes I have tried that, didn’t work
it lights up when I read it but when trying to write it give me the unsupported error
the iPhone has a seriously difficult time dealing with chips that have a corrupted or broken NDEF record. You might try using tagwriter for iOS and doing an erase or format operation, or just try to make it do a simple record write. I don’t think writing to a broken ndef record is supported on iOS but I do think tagwriter will fail and then try raw commands to repair the record… I have heard of people using tagwriter on iOS to fix these kinds of problems before.

tried tag writer and it says no ndef format found thenb when I tried to format it said write protect (failed unknown error)
also “no ndef messages found”

We don’t know that yet…all we know is, it is not working with your iPhone
Do you have access to any other readers? Android perhaps? Flipper Zero? PM3?

But we do know that it has not failed, because of this;
If it had failed, you would get zero response whatsoever. Something has messed up your NDEF record and you need to figure out a way to fix it. iPhone is not going to be your friend in this endeavor. I have heard of other people being able to successfully repair the NDEF records with their iPhones but it never seems to be repeatable with most people.

sending raws with advanced commands on NFC Tools for IOS could be useful but I find it finnickey at best and doing the whole slate of commands will take a lovely little lifetime.
