What are you making ⚒️ / 3D printing 🖨

Oh, there is a dt Club laser thread?

Cool

Ah yeah I am kinda documenting the process there. So far it’s;

  • here is the laser!

  • damn. Need a tablet to operate it.

  • damn. Tablet I ordered has faulty USB port.

  • let’s debate USB standards while I wait for a replacement tablet.

Oof

That sucks

No layer shift after color change this time, but did get some burning after I changed the filament.

I just discovered gridfinity

And it apparently fits my 6 ikea alex drawers. And probably my 2 printer cabinets… and I can add it to the ikea skadis pegboard I’ll be putting up at my hobby tinker desk

Super open source and customizable, but wildly uniform and compatible?

RIP my filament chest

Least my printer will have a steady diet for the next 5 years

Gridfinity

I’ve been subscribed to him for a while. And he might be easy to convince into getting an implant or two.

… I’m going to design a 1x1 for holding various unsealed glass vials for @amal and @mrln if for nothing other than shits and giggles

Best case some gridfinity implant community attention

Here’s a webcam mount I made (heavily remixed for a few sources ) for my ender 3… logitech c920
I wasn’t happy with the direction most pointed, or their rigidity and how many mounted didn’t work with my existing mods

Eventually I’m going to cut all the excessive cable out and redo the male end… when there aren’t bigger fish to fry such as octoeverywhere paywalling webcams…. I’m not mad they do it… I’m just mad they don’t tell you until your running a webcam

Changing the camera mount was suprisingly in depth

I’m planning to post on thingiverse once I get some better pictures… moving the machine is a pain

Amal, I printed out a set of glass holders in petg for you to try

Would you like me to do one in resin also?

I’m not sure which has better thermal properties

PETG by far :+1:

I printed a little RJ-45 socket holder to keep them from rotating while using the punch down tool. Not perfect, I’ll try to improve the ergonomics, but it definitely made the job quicker and less annoying

First non-practical print on the resin printer

No idea who he is.

He’s famous on the Net for “unnecessary inventions” although a few of them are quite clever although quite weird.
