What’s your vna probe look like when trying for 125khz?

I have the em probes I bought online as well as the loop I made and it doesn’t even budge when I measure the lf fobs I have.

Edit: I may have some bunk AliExpress fobs come to think about it. I’ll try some more later when I get the kids down.

Another thing to consider is the nanovna may say it’s sweeping across the 125khz range but the hardware may just be incapable. If you have an oscope try connecting an identical coil to the scope probes and couple them, then run the sweep… see what your vna is actually putting out

Ah I have the LiteVNA 64.

50k-6ghz

Yeah, just tried again with my known LF cards, until i can figure out a way to properly measure these im gonna hold off on the antenna design. I can sink far too much time in trying to design the antenna all for me not to be able to test and tune these things.

I’ve always enjoyed some of the large artistic prints with super thick layer lines…

So I’m currently very curious about making a Bambu 1.2/1.6/2 mm nozzle

Ordered one of those Aliexpress m6 nozzle kits with cht style screw in nozzles…
I think I’m going to try to drill them out

I need a slightly different shirt…

Or ideally a sticker… But I don’t think that I have to remind anyone that I’d rather be a block of metal.

Typical story.
Nice shirts, I like, I go to buy. NOT available in Tall.
Well… I guess I’ll just hafta keep my money then.

You probably know, but if there’s no rigidizer on the kaowool insulation, don’t fuck with it till you can apply it.

I soaked it with rigidizer last night, ill do a first warmup burn today to get the moisture out :+1:

Do i also need to coat it with plaster/refractory cement after the rigidizer?
I have plaster of paris on hand, not sure if its necessary o add anything, but i don’t really like the ide of the crucible sitting on the insulation on the bottom of the furnace …

Plaster of paris won’t take that kind of heat. You’d need something like Satanite. But if the burner isn’t built for that, don’t.

The kaowool has very low thermal mass and adding refractory will significantly impact how the furnace heats up. Use it for what it is, and when your skills begin to exceed it’s capabilities, upgrade.

awesome, thanks for the advice.

I have been chewing on wearables in the back of my head for a bit…

I really wanna design up some kind of gauntlet
Specifically a mini keyboard holder

I just don’t want to have to ratchet it to my arm, nor do I want it sliding up and down

Hrmmmm :thinking::sweat_smile:

An xPicatinnyRail would be nice for such accessoires.

:robot_gundam:

Personal body goals aside, it is possible to buy those nylon ratcheting things that are used on motorcycle boots?

Or maybe some of those velcro straps that have a rubber coating on the back?

Ie: something like this: Amazon.com: Trilancer Elastic Cinch Straps with Anti-Slip Strips, 3 Size Combo(5-Pack) Heavy Duty Hook and Loop Storage Straps for Extension Cords, Cables, Ropes, Hoses, Bike, RV, Pant Garters,Garage Organization : Electronics

Those straps look great! Clean your arms with isopropyl alcohol to remove oils and they should be very tacky on your skin.

I was thinking something like a thin bracer printed in tpu

I just finished a roughly 3 hr burn. The first hour at 1/2 throttle followed by 2 hours at wide open. I went through probably 2/3 of a 30lb tank, so a full standard 20lb tank. Just fyi.

Also, for reference, I failed very successfully. I got a little melted, but not nearly enough for a single project. Learned much though. For now, the wheelerator is probably destined to be upcycled into a redneck firepit.

Trying to heat too much at the same time?
