Long story short, my Mother bought a freeze drying machine. So she needs a funnel to go into canning jars. (the square bottom is support material) 8x8 inches, 7 inches tall. Pretty much pushing max size.

I’ve also got some other freezed dryer bits to make. Tray stackers and such. It’s funny that I’ve made far more for other people than I have for myself.

So I dried my old bubbly and stringy pla filament in the oven at 70° for ~2h and it was brand new and printed perfectly.
I hope this is repeatable because it only takes a couple weeks for it to go bad here.

Put it into a Tupperware style container with a good amount of reusable color change desiccant and it’ll store great for long periods of time.

I was using large plastic “airtight” bags but they suck at being airtight. A Tupperware might be better

Yeah part of the issue with bags is that water can actually get through the bag itself. The plastic is low density to remain soft and “bag like”… pliable. Higher density plastic used for airtight food containers are much better at moisture control.

or get a drybox

What’s that do specially? Is it an active drying box that is meant for storage or just processing before use?

there are different types including a diy type. i have two that are active dryboxes that can hold 2 spools each. it has a heater and a fan and it lowers moisture content significantly.

Hey stop being so cool ok?

Thats cool and all, but now do a bust of Amal and a hidden RFID reader.

Even if somebody found the bust hinge and opened it, There would be no button, no anything except much confusion
