XYO crypto coin with NFC card

Agree with you once more here!

I’ve actually met a guy designing a Raid array of cheap computer processors to mine BTC… and the way they made it viable to turn a profit included illegal sapping of electricity from the power grid, and “buying merchandise fallen out of trucks”…

I mean… I do love the concept of blockchain currency, but we are bound to fucking up the planet over it for now… :roll_eyes:

Is geomining an actual thing, or are they all scams? If it isn’t, couldn’t you instead create a script to auto mine every block within some area with spoofed GPS, which would be a lot more efficient? And even so, i don’t think you can earn any more than it costs for electricity.

afaik, all scams.

I base this on the following premises:

  • Despite being technically feasible to utilise geolocation data into the hashing mechanism, there is no actual advantage to doing so, but there are plenty of downsides to it.

  • if geolocation was to be seriously input somehow into the algorithm, then the computing would have to be at least done “in-loco”, which goes against the “zero batery consumption” advertised behaviour (also it would require some seriously specialist hardware to avoid fraud… not a mobile phone.

  • If geolocation data was to be used on the hashing mechanism, then it would have to use a proprietary blockchain. all the ones I saw are based off onto another blockchain already existing.

  • the number of “coins mined” those apps show the users is a marketing number, designed to make you feel like you have progress, but it is a mathematically improbable number.

  • the “mining on the cloud” statement all those geolocation scams use makes literally 0 sense. If anyone had a “cloud” able to bine coins, they would have zero use for you to download any app.

  • showing ads on the app, even if “the mining is done on the cloud”, would still sap away precious computing power that could instead be used to mine even more… and mining would make everyone more money than ads.

So…
These seem to be no more than a fancy dress over the traditional ad-farm apps (those that you download just to watch ads in exchange of amazon vouchers and such).

The main difference is that by “geotagging” the app is forcing you to go to another part of town, where there are different ads playing, so you can watch more ads… But that also happens with the original adfarm apps: if you go across town and then reset the app, it will show you new ads, even if you reached the limit previously.

Right so 5 days later … I’ve got ~2500 coin not enough for anythin (no suprise there as its the long game). Most of that as it 2000 of it was earned through completing surveys. This really is a ad and survey platform with little to nothing to do with “geomining”.

I also obtained a sentinel nfc card i managed to get it for free not even shipping helps to know people :sweat_smile: this was cloned to my xsiid and to my suprise it worked but only for one scan … I waited the mandatory 4hrs scan the xsiis again and nada just an nfc error.

I haven’t investigated the error yet but when I do ill shoot an update here.

Personally I’m helping use it a motivation to walk and its helping me do that.

Copy only URL and write It in xSIID, this is the secrets :joy:

Hmm not true the url changes on every scan, there is an incremental counter as well as a random string on the end.

Original copy:
uid=04432612A26A80x000005&c=A2C5655C30F5ADEB

After that one scan got errors multiple times and the implant was unusable (for coin app)

Subsequent scans of the card within the app worked fine so I looked at the url and it does incriment on every scan you can successfully capture scans for later use but thats laborious.

Scan 7 and 9

uid=04432612A26A80x000007&c=26A44672DFA2E456

uid=04432612A26A80x000009&c=41E87537FB45EA80

I have never had problems with the scan, I first registered the card in the app and then only used the link in my xsiid, it always read it without any errors

I did some cryptomining, and all of this sounds so stragne.

For example if i mine XMR with a 5 year old 300$ desktop CPU i get about 2-5 Cents worth of XMR per 12H

Power consumption of the whole thing is then over 300W

HOW THE FCK IS THIS APP THING WORKING THEN?

They propably just sell your data.

If they do Cloud Mining the dont need the Phone client

If they actually mine on your phone your battery will empty quite fast, it will get hot af.

I honestly don’t know how it works, but I’m sure it pays

They’re selling your location data.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to update you on the news, I am continuing to use the app with other accounts as well, although the price of XYO is going up, the application continues to pay me well.

I’ve only been on coin for a few days and I’m already earning really well without a paid plan. I ordered my NFC tonight and am looking forward to getting that in the next week or so. I’ll be crushing it on my earns. I literally just leave the app open 24/7 on my phone and it’s set to automine and i’m racking up the coin to exchange my XYO. I play every ad I see pop up when I’m awake and click on all the big geomines as fast as I can. I get why people don’t think this can be real but it is. Plus add to the fact that XYO was just added to coinbase and this makes a great easy earn for crypto. Can deposit directly to your coinbase XYO wallet. Anyone who hasn’t tried it or not believing in it to each their own but I’m with B4db0ycs on this and excited about using it.

Indeed it is, at about, $0.04

When @B4db0ycs reccomended it, the price was around $0.000280

So a single XYO from then to now ~

oops, first post was NZD, fixed to USD now

@B4db0ycs how is your wallet looking?

@Devilclarke , you did some tests, have you checked your balance?

FYI its also on TrustWallet, probably some others
