Any good articles on human microchips?

Hello There!

I was assigned to create a paper on a ‘controversial issue’ for my studies, and I decided to choose human microchips – they seem to get a good amount of backlash for their unsafeness and ‘tracking capabilities’, even though most of this is untrue. Would any of you recommend some in depth articles I could use for citing evidence? Whether it discusses their safety or their uses or common misconceptions, anything would help.

Thanks!

There’s people who will be able to offer better answers than this, but maybe something to start from…

Amal Grafstraa, who runs this joint did a TED Talk.

Plus there’s a whole crap ton of articles you can find by searching under his name. (quality varies)

There’s a couple of books, but they’re more technical than controversial.

The dangerous things YouTube Channel.

Bunch of random biohacking videos. (caution, may contain random lunatics too.)

Hopefully that’ll get you started, and maybe there’ll be a few, more specific, suggestions? Anywho, good luck and let us know how it fares.

Hi,
You might want to give this paper a hover read:

Kaspersky-The-Future-of-Human-Augmentation-Report.pdf (1.1 MB)

TL;DR: What do people think about augmentation a’la empirical.

There will be more answers, keep reading the forum. :sunglasses::+1:

Wow, thank you, that sure is an in depth resource. I will make sure to get my use out of it.

I updated your post to include the PDF file itself because these kinds of resources don’t stand up to the test of time… lots of 404s out there now on really interesting papers etc.

Or a black market because it is regulated, thereby making it too difficult and costly to go through a licensed doctor.

I’ve been DLing everything lately, especially after the legal and hacker attacks on the internet archives lately. (Appologies if it consumed a lot of your bandwidth when I downloaded all of the forums PDF repo recently.)

I wrote some seminar stuff back in 2022 at uni. Not that detailed but good enough for a 30min talk, and it has links to a few more sources. Scientists and Ethics: Contemporary Transhumanism | Chances, risks and ethics of human augmentation
