I currently have a Flex ME and a Flex MN in my left and right hands.
These are the large round disks.
After 10 years, these are almost giving up, so I’m looking for a Flex that I can program the same way as this one.
Which one should I get?
I currently have a HID (AWID) card, a Skydata card, a Salto card, and a 125 kHz card.
This is spread across both tags.
Who can help me?
This one should also have the same magic function.
On this moment i have a Xmagic '(Gen2) but i can’t program my AWID with that
Also the range is not so big like the FlexMN/MT
Your should be able to write your xMagic LF T5577 side to AWID.
You’re correct about the range.
Normally I would have recommended you get a FlexMT, but this is discontinued.
Currently, I think your best option for Low Frequency is the FlexEM, AND the range will POSSIBLY be slightly better, as your current ones are 15mm, and the Flex is 20mm.
For any HF magic you might want, I would probaly suggest you wait for the FlexUG4 and its new antenna design.
If you cant wait for that, The FlexM1 is a close second, It is very small, but still has great range.
If you want to get fancy up in this bitch, I would suggest you look at either the ApexFlex or the FlexSecure
Not on its own.
The FlexMT had
M= Mifare Classic
T= T5577
If you were to get the FlexUG4, you get
Gen4 of the Ultimate Magic Chip which, as of a week ago has just been relaunched with a new and improved antenna.
I dont have the new one to compare range, but by all accounts it is vastly improved.
(Although I need one, as my UG4 is the original antenna and can be hit and miss with some readers)
If I get a new one, I’ll do a side by side comparison.
For your EM, You will also need the T5577 functionality with something like an xEM
or FlexEM (for better range)
I think the only dual HF/LF chip currently available is the NExT v2, which is an x-series bioglass implant that has a T5577, NTAG, and LED all in one.
I’ve been using the original xEM and xNT bioglass capsules for 5+ years now and haven’t had much issue with range for access control. Sometimes I have to put my hand at a weird angle, but I can get reliable reads most of the door locks and HID readers I’ve come across.
I’ve been holding out for a reliable flex implant that has LF/HF/LED in one, but given the number of issues over the years, I’m going to go with the NExT 2 for my next implant.
