Install Videos and Pictures 🩸

Hey, what implant did you get?

And don’t worry, from what I’ve seen most of us ā€œraw dogā€ x-series installs without pain management anyways.

Got the Next, felt like the jack of all trades to get myself into the whole world. Using a flipper and phone for writing cloning etc.

The NExT was certainly my gateway drug into the ā€˜hobby’ as my first implant. You’ll love it. Get yourself a KBR1 and a PM3 if you haven’t yet. A RSP will also be helpful.

Got him installed! Lil context; The Tattoo this implant got placed under was Dad’s only tattoo he ever had. When I asked my Mom about it, she had no idea what it meant, even back in the 80’s when she asked about it. He also didn’t know anymore.

So, had a tattoo artist trace his old tattoo from photos and gone with what was left visible after decades. So, Thanks to the DT team, I’ve now got dad’s ashes under Dad’s tattoo in my hand! Super excited! :relieved:

@amal , out of curiosity, how long before there’s a chance to see the glow you’d think? I’ve read varying comments on the blinkies, but this one being like this, I’m just curious ^^ and again, Thank y’all times a million for this implant…

Yeah man this is awesome :100:

It could take up to 3 weeks … some people it’s instant… some people it’s 2 weeks… 4 weeks… some 6 weeks. Depends on blood pooled and how fast your body removes the dead blood.

Big day for me yesterday. Got some glowy scar work (a small hexagon), my second xG3v2 removed from R3 and a CoMmuter installed in its place.

My apologies in advance for having to hear me yap…

Also got the opportunity to chip @Satur9 with a prototype NExTv2 for the experience - first time I’ve ever installed anything in anyone else. Scary, but doable. Reasonably confident I could do it again without two experts in the room…

Chipping Cory

Thank you to Amal for the conversion, Cory for finally bringing me around to the CoM (install was far easier than I expected it to be!) and JR @ Mean Street Tattoos for pulling it off!

Counter of very confused cashiers is already at two.

After innumerable flakes from local shops I decided to take the ill advised self install route for my latest, a NextV2.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t record during since I was shooting into my right hand using my left.

Immediate function check results seem good to go

Maybe the needle could be a little longer for more control over going farther from the injection point? I wasn’t expecting it to be so short in person.

Why did you get it removed? Also hell of a lot better than my self removal.

Had to make room for the CoMmuter.

Cut down version (originally recorded in 4k60fps, 6.7gigs), 4gauge piercing needle to -P0 for a 6826 lodestone magnet. Rawdogged, no lube or lido.
Lots of f-bombs, couple times I nearly went involuntary fetal position etc. Not fun, but I’m stubborn.

It’s pretty much right under the circled spot at the moment. It better stay put and heal up there cuz I aint doing this again.

Pictures of my self install of the NextV2, one immediately after installation and the other after I first cleaned it… I hadn’t considered that the NextV2 would be a tad bigger than other x-series, like the xSIID, and seeing what looked like an XXL needle come out of the box rocked me a little :sob: but I got it done

That size of needle made it into my dreams and it’s what my unconscious considers normal:

My xG3v2! I went with this spot mainly for holding sewing pins and to avoid having pressure on it during desk work.

My xGlow install was a bit interesting! I wanted to put it under my tattoo of the old biohacking forum logo (back when I got it, I was actually planning to put a firefly under it), which is on my shoulder. It took a LOT of force to get the needle in, even with added needle lube- I also couldn’t get clips to stay on well for tenting the skin. When I started to pull the injector back to make space to inject the implant, the needle came off! I was able to line the plunger back up with it and get the implant in, but ended up needing pliers to pull the needle out. All good in the end, but the shoulder is maybe not ideal for DIYing.

this made me laugh because it’s so true. I self installed my NeXT and it was easy and smooth!

I thought the NeXTv2 was the same size and when I opened the packaging and saw the needle I thought it looked bigger then I remember…! Ended up almost passing out installing it lol

But I’ve since self installed a FlexSecure with the 5mm needle and that strangely enough was much easier then this to install!

My last install did similar, but the luer fitting managed to stay glued to the needle just long enough.
i managed to reattached the syringe and plunger to finish the install, but the plunger had a rough time pushing the implant all the way out … ended up nudging it with teh needle

Glad you got it, thats what matter in the end
