So far the only options we’ve seen that ACTUALLY WORK with implants are either kinda garbage like the EGEE smart touch… Deviant Ollam has a good video showing it’s many failings… it usually opens… but it isn’t secure as it only uses I think 2 numbers of the uid
Or The other option was something @anon3825968 picked up to try out, but it comes in at something like 350€ and it’s pretty chunky, and still kinda seems like it could be defeated by hitting the “smart” section sideways
There’s also the eeoo padlock, I had zero success with it ever opening but some people did I think? Or maybe just rosco
Yeah, this is by no means a lock replacement for a safe, Its for keeping your kids out of the liquor cabinet or dildo drawer.
I’m a little surprised at this, I wonder if the tapping loosens the single screw holding the latch, Maybe a couple of drops of loctite would prevent that
Anything with spring latches will inherently be vulnerable to some sort of impact attack, since the actual latch is disconnected mechanically from the body that is struck
Sort of reverse bumping, instead of hitting a pin and letting it continue moving under its inertia,
You hit it and the latch tries to remain stationary due to its inertia while the body moves from the impact
For whatever it’s worth, I ended up purchasing one of these and trying it with my xSIID. Nothing/nada/zilch…just not enough range for the xSIID to wake it up for a good read, even with a repeater. I did confirm that the lock itself would accept the NTAG I2C (as emulated at least by a Flipper), but the glassy itself couldn’t do it.
I do have a large repeater and an xM1 coming soon, will give those a go. I suspect it’s probably more of an issue with bad QC of the lock versus the one you received though.
If anyone has another recommendation for a cam-style lock that works with the small antennas in our x-series implants, please let me know. I might give Combi-Cam a shot soon.
That is my guess also, i was lucky I didnt need one because they didn’t exist when i tested it.
I have been considering getting one of those for years, I do ha e a project for one, but its on the back burner at the moment.
I’ll be interested to see how it goes if you get one.
Pretty sure @turbo2ltr got one and put it in his modified car.
worked with xSeries
reliable lock from memory…
I’ll dig out his post for you
I just sat here staring at my hands trying to remember which implant is in which hand.
Yeah the video says I used my right hand so that is my xEM, I couldn’t remember what that lock used. But
I seem to remember someone on here saying they changed the design since I bought one years ago.
IN any case, the reader on mine was in the knob. You’d hit a button to wake it up and it read my xEM very reliably.
