Looking for implanter in SE Wisconsin

Brand new to the biohacking scene, but fascinated by NFC/RFID and want to get my own implant. I’m looking for a professional first but none in Southeast Wisconsin or anywhere near me. I’ve read that I shouldn’t just call around, and I don’t have any friends to do it. Should I be expecting to drive 8-10 hours in order to find someone? Should I try to approach a local place and see if I can find someone willing?
I’ve been talking with Hamspiced and Equip for a few days now but wanted to get official words from you guys and the community about what I should do.

If you’re not in a hurry, it looks like we’re got a guy heading to WI in November. There’s another traveling artisit i need to touch base with.

Have you seen the “how to” on this Amal put together?

I did check out the write-up on how to approach professionals, but as I mentioned, I also saw that it said don’t just call around. I’d be willing to go in person to a few places, but also didn’t want to jump ahead and start talking to people without being fully educated, hence why I came here first.
If you have someone coming to Wisconsin, that would be amazing! I’m not in a rush, so November would be great!

I’d reach out to Shawn and make sure everything is still good for his 11/9 stop. Dude has glow powder as well.

Welcome!
It looks like you might have a lead on an answer.

What [implant] are you thinking about getting, if you don’t mind me asking?

Welcome to the forum! This is a great place to be with so much helpful information and discussion.

Spill the beans! (Only if you want to of course)

My first implant was a NeXT and I love it.

The NExT v2 will be my first implant.

I did request an appointment on his official page, but not sure if I should also try reaching out on his Instagram? Also not sure how long I should wait for a response.

Late update, I ended up getting two implants, the Next V2 and the xMagic. If there is a place to post the videos of my stabbings I’ll be happy to supply them, otherwise they are almost fully healed. Still waiting for them to settle and encapsulate, but that is just a matter of time.

Awesome combo (I have the NExT and xMagic Gen1a)!

A post was merged into an existing topic: Install Videos and Pictures :drop_of_blood:

He said it was because if he went in the other direction, it would have been more painful. I’ve had others say the same thing, as well as the downward angle of installation on the other one.

It is currently sitting on top of the bone, but I’ve been trying to figure out some way to pin it down so it sits in between the metacarpals.

Huh

Normally you try to implant it as close to final location as possible to avoid this.. Is it legitimately just making an “X” across the bone?

More of a + than an x. I haven’t found a working solution that keeps the implant in place where I want it that doesn’t make daily activity uncomfortable.

Yeah Green or blue is more ideal, but it sounds like you have red.

If this is the case I am really baffled on why an install would be done this way..

Take a look through this post. There may be something there for you.

I have been talking with Hamspiced for a while. I’ve tried that and found it to be very uncomfortable with the popsicle sticks. I don’t have a 3d printer or anyone to make one for me right now either.

Where are you roughly from a geographical perspective, Wisconsin? I have a 3D printer and MI to WI should be pretty quick.

DM me if interested, no charges.
