Yep, was much fun to read - and I really like that guy, amazing artist / work of art, and has some quite intelligent things to say.

Also, must admit, sexy as fuck in his early years

You mean… before he started with his Nicolas Cage cosplay thing?

but agree… Golden Age was his golden age, imho… (or Alpha?? uhmm…)

Ugh… yeees, not so much my style
I like him most during the Antichrist Superstar phase… like, in this video for ā€œMan that you fearā€. Or on that nice live show on Bizarre Festival 1997 - was a bit too young to go there, but must have been great

I can relate to that exactly same frustration!

Yeah, from Antichrist (Alpha) to Mechanical Animals (Omega) was his iconic period.
Yet something on Golden Age calls out to me…

Yep, that one was very special, too - totally different from Antichrist, but still, so incredibly great… Actually, borrowed my online name from that album  Coma White was always a special song for me.

Golden Age… well… it’s not bad, really, I think I just don’t ā€œgetā€ it, in a way. Spade, for example, is quite a masterpiece, but several other songs there just don’t get me.
I just recently started to like ā€œHoly Woodā€ (especially Target Audience - the voice makes me shiver…), so, maybe I will like Golden Age in a few years?

That is definitely my favourite song from all his discography. By miles!

When talking about golden age, I’m talking about the looks! (this whole derail begun with your mention of he being sexy in the past)
Sound-wise, GA is… ok… would be amazing if it was another band, but I just can’t compare it to his work either as Omega, or even with Spooky Kids.

Yeees, that’s exactly the problem I’ve got with GA - it is definitely not bad, it just doesn’t feel the way the older stuff does… his looks during that time were great, of course  And Dita van Teese was a great girl by his side, during that time - quite a nice couple, visually

And hey, we’re not derailing - this is the derailing-thread, so anyone here is free to jump in and change the conversation to something else, similarly strange

I literally just DMd you exactly about that, at the same time you wrote this reply!

I used to be a biiiiig fan (and jeez, how gorgeous is he in the video for Gave Up by NIN) but after discovering the whole Evan Rahcel Wood relationship stuff… I can’t really bring myself to listen to him anymore :confounded:

Mh, I don’t know what actually happened, so I’m really careful to judge in such cases.
I think he is a great artist, and a very intelligent interview partner. I wouldn’t want to be an enemy of him, nope, but I have no reason to think bad of him. Additionally, he literally kinda safed my life in a pretty hard time. So I kinda feel related.

I wasn’t able to research (in short time…) what has happend between him and his girl, nor do I really care (for I can’t prove if it’s true), but I think it might be obvious that a relationship with people like him or Johnny Depp or similar persons might be freakin difficult…

I do suffer from that same issue… but…

I have to agree here…
Now-a-days it is really hard to know what is actually true.

Take Johnny Depp’s case for example.
