I have a card from the hotel last weekend, I wasn’t able to dedicate enough time to fiddle with it to see what it was and clone it to my imolsnt

… so I just kept it to decode later lol

Only thing I can tel so far is it doesn’t scan with TagInfo… so could be 125 or mifare classic as mine won’t pick those up

There’s also a PL1 on the bottom of the card if that bears any significance

At times I ponder the idea of getting a magnet but I find the idea on an install in an area that’s full of nerve endings a bit off putting and I tend to encounter iron filings…

Maybe I’ll just stick to RFID implants for now.

I’ve got Titans on the backs of my hands, and I work with steel grindings and shavings.

I’ve not had any build up, or stick unless I put it there myself. And then it just falls off with a light brushing motion.

While in welding school after my xG3 install, had a tiny amount of shavings stick, but like ODaily said, light brush and they come off.

Edit: New magnet use case! Pocket sand is so too old school, pocket metal shavings is more cyborg

I started work at 7:20 this morning, dealt with a critical server being down, and then at 9am I was made redundant.

I think I am still in shock. Now I need to decide what to do with the rest of my life. I don’t know how easy it will be to find another job given that I am 52.

That really sucks, and you even hinted at that being a possibility not long ago, so I guess that means you probably weren’t caught completely unaware.

Despite your age, and not knowing you other than my interactions with you on here, I see you as a font of knowledge, willing to freely share that knowledge.
You have turned out some cool projects and you help people when they need it, you also have a stable and predictable personality.

Those are some VERY hireable traits, and hope others will see that also.
