I almost see a blue chicken / crow mashup facing left.

Interesting how so many people see one thing and others, another.

The death of brick and mortar doesn’t really hit you until you end up at the mall on a weekend.

That reminds me of the last time I visited the US. Brick and mortar is alive and well in south america.

I got exited but then died a bit on the inside…

:sob:

Also, my life got derailed about 2 years ago and I haven’t had the opportunity to set up all of the RFID toys that I wanted. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do so next year. :crossed_fingers:t2:

It wasnt derailed. just wasnt on the right path. You got it man.

Anybody have any experience with Apple Watches?
Considering one,
But it would sit directly on top of a NExT, it’s deep enough that I have no comfort concerns… but idk if it’s going to be constantly trying to read it or if it even can read

It won’t be able to read. I doubt it would have any comfort concerns unless the watch band was tight against your skin and it was right under the band and not the watch itself. I don’t know how it might adversely affect pulse oximetry censor data though if it’s directly under the watch body. Probably not much of a difference.

I have an Apple Watch Ultra. I really enjoy it. That’s the biggest reason I switched from Samsung to iPhone.

I don’t have any implants near the watch or band.

That’s why I got the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which looks very similar

I’m good, thanks for the offer… I’m 100% for right to repair but Apple currently makes working on their shit the worst

No personal experience myself, but supposedly iPhone 16 took a step in the right direction for repairability.

At least what I heard in a news blurb.

Am I the only crazy 'borg who likes mechanical watches?

Maybe I should try a smartwatch at some point. But I have the impression that the smart variety of wrist wearable isn’t designed to last as long as the battery on a cheap Casio and this bothers me a bit.

Thank you, that helped me feel a little better.
