Anybody have any experience with Apple Watches?
Considering one,
But it would sit directly on top of a NExT, itās deep enough that I have no comfort concernsā¦ but idk if itās going to be constantly trying to read it or if it even can read
It wonāt be able to read. I doubt it would have any comfort concerns unless the watch band was tight against your skin and it was right under the band and not the watch itself. I donāt know how it might adversely affect pulse oximetry censor data though if itās directly under the watch body. Probably not much of a difference.
I have an Apple Watch Ultra. I really enjoy it. Thatās the biggest reason I switched from Samsung to iPhone.
I donāt have any implants near the watch or band.
I got one with a busted screen in an electronic ot a while back, if you want to fix it its yours
Iām good, thanks for the offerā¦ Iām 100% for right to repair but Apple currently makes working on their shit the worst
No personal experience myself, but supposedly iPhone 16 took a step in the right direction for repairability.
At least what I heard in a news blurb.
Am I the only crazy 'borg who likes mechanical watches?
Maybe I should try a smartwatch at some point. But I have the impression that the smart variety of wrist wearable isnāt designed to last as long as the battery on a cheap Casio and this bothers me a bit.
Thank you, that helped me feel a little better.
I donāt honestly have a particular reason to want a smart watch now, besides gym bio tracking
But itās a wearable and thatās cyborg ish right?
Nope, mechanical and automatic dive watch here!
No battery, always on time, always waterproof
I wanted to like smartwatch, but I used one for a week and gave it away ā¦ Not for me ā¦
Only if you wish that an implantable version was available.
Iād love to have an implantable version of the Aftershokz bone conduction headphones, complete with an accelerometer based microphone right next to my larynx. You canāt get better ambient noise suppression than that. But batteries are a problemā¦
I have a Shinola Automatic i love and wear daily.
I absolutely loved my Pebble before fitbit bought them and killed them.
Same, the pebble was great. After they killed it I bounced from smart watch to smart watch for a while, but ultimately daily drive a Hamilton khaki field
Manā¦ trying to find a used Apple Watch at a fair price that isnāt a scam is a less trivial matter than I assumed
Iām wanting to try to find a used 7 or 8, hoping I can maintain blood ox sensor, refurb units are disabled
I donāt trust a lot of places for refurbished.
However I have bought many of services from Swappa with great success.
And I recently bought a 3yr old iPad from woot and itās in immaculate condition.
They have a few apple watches too but I donāt know if the deal is any good.

The problem is the refurbishment process, because of apples lawsuit they force the sensor to be disabled
Well it lists it in the product description so Iād try it and if itās disabled return it.
Try Swappa.com ā¦ I bought lots from thereā¦ itās just used not refurb but never got a DOA or anything
