AHH, red one is a cheapo multi-meter
Yellow one is specifically for measuring tiny tiny capacitive values. I used to use it to grade the SMD capacitors i would get in. thats where i saw how much they varied in printed capacetence. also why i have the tweezers on that one.

I really hope so. Letā€™s hope the testers come back positive!

Joking aside, I have 3 that I really like nearby. The rest of my collection is currently in another countryā€¦

Sounds like a plan, but you might end up machining some literal black magic:

Letā€™s aim to get things done in less than 18 months however.

Stop beating around the bush, you know that Iā€™m actively seeking to convert.

I also found a higher resolution version but itā€™s going to need some editing. Iā€™ll get around to it once Iā€™m back in front of my computer, doing this on a phone kinda sucks.

I suspect that those flex pcb arrays are likely going to get encapsulated in scar tissue.

It looks like they are using a biocompatible kapton like material for the ā€œboardā€, and biocompatible solder mask.

Anyways, how bad is collagen encapsulation at transmitting the signals?

Most capacitors can be -20% to +80% of the printed value IIRC. But check the datasheet for the specific ones that youā€™re using. Higher precision ones are available.

i was buying +/-5% and they were ā€œOkayā€ about 60% were actually within that tolerance.

Tangential note, this thread basically doesnā€™t work for me on mobile or desktop any more. Itā€™s almost like forum threads arenā€™t intended for live conversations between hundreds of people  :exploding_head:

I love hearing converted Musk stans divert their energies to talking about all the people doing things better. It warms the cockles of my heart.

The precision is a vastly superior solution. I also want to hear more about wearable fNIRS devices, but theyā€™re all giant helmets for either alt health or video games. Thereā€™s so many interesting use cases like simple phone controls over bluetooth that could be done with a tiny fNIRS wearable device.

Itā€™s certainly less scary than to have wires inserted into your brain, it definitely looks like a better solution, and it should be easier to remove without leaving a big hole in your skull. However, Iā€™m rather skeptical about the long term durability of both solutions for the time being.

Iā€™ve been thinking about looking into this for a while but havenā€™t had the time or resources to dip my toes in.

If you hate getting AI results, There is a solution

A huge blocklist of manually curated sites (1000+) that contain AI generated content, for the purposes of cleaning image search engines (Google Search, DuckDuckGo, and Bing) with uBlock Origin or uBlacklist.

A hosts file for pihole/adguard is available as well.

Important Read:

Right now, please use uBlacklist instead of uBlock Origin for now.

Needs a little restructuring to fix DOM targeting. You can still try uBlock, but it will probably not work as you expect it to.

BioCom is Hokers ā€œBasicā€ NFC reader.

It also does PGP encrypted/decrypt text.

I really like it, infact

And just noticed the app has been removed from the playstore

Lol, thatā€™s sweet of ya. Personally I hate Biocom. I wrote it so long ago:P AM is much much better. Though it obviously doesnā€™t work for non-P71/P60 chips. Is there something about it specifically that youā€™d like to see ported over? Iā€™m working on PGP encryption/decryption in AM now.

Yea the biggest issue I have with neuralink was the fact that it replaced a large section of skullā€¦ I canā€™t quite articulate why, but I didnā€™t like thatā€¦ below or above is fineā€¦ instead of bother me
