A bit more passive aggressive option is

ā€œI can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for youā€

Managed to get the equipment delivered… And that took all morning.

At least the electrician I hired appears to be competent. Although he said that it’s the first time that he’ll be installing CAT6.

In other news, everything hurts… Had to move some furniture on my own. I really need that xBattery…

How to tell if someone is an EE:

Show them the following video:

If they scream about the transmission line gods, signal integrity, and parasitics, you are dealing with an electrical engineer.

Also those strain reliefs don’t inspire confidence.

About 3 years ago I was working on a project to add a OLED display to a Keychron Q1. I was trying to probe two unused pins off the MCU and ended up destroying the board. Wish something like this existed back then…

It certainly looks useful. As long as you keep the bandwidth limitations in mind.

Probably better to use such cables with a multimeter but it’s ok as long as you know the limitations of your test setup and how it’s affecting the circuit that you’re working on.

I never realized how many re-sellers DT has, as I look for photos and specs for my catalog I keep finding new websites. I had never heard of chipster.nu for example

Pretty cool.

Awesome! So all the teeth get replaced like when you’re a child? That’s a long and painful process but still better than nothing.

Sad for that fourth person standing next to the 3 doctors at the end though :smiling_face_with_tear: the editor was like ā€œnope, you don’t make it in the videoā€

Did anyone else think: meth? We have an answer? Sorry.

I misread as ā€œMeh, We have an answerā€ and thought that you wanted metal teeth screwed directly into your bones.

I mean, it sounds cool AF! Until you remember that the Soviets used to use stainless steel for dental work and you have no desire to torture Christian seminarians at the Pitești prison…

:skull:

Clearly not…

Do you have a solution for the brain damage that it causes and for the neighbors of the lab who ended up poisoned because of the byproducts of the stuff?

Beautiful green beastie. Over the years I’ve gradually been upgrading to larger vehicles and am quite happy with my spaciousness new cargo van, though it’s nothing compared to that vast interior. So much table top.

For context, I used to run a drug squad and encountered many with black and rotten teeth. It was intended a light hearted joke, not a suggestion to use meth.

Hehe, thanks. It’s actually got twice as much table space as I need. Previous owner and his wife did remote work with laptops so needed the room. Going to remove the giant desk, move the kitchen table/chairs over to that side, extend the kitchen counter to fit the propane oven, and shove in a mini bathroom/shower in there also.

there have been a few things.

Some big stuff , some little stuff, some new people with new projects.

You should start with @Hamspiced, specifically his repeater stickers

I have been wondering how you were going after the last little while (along with a few others)
Glad your back

That is the most American sentence I have read today.

Yeah, please do, and keep us updated.

If it looks like it needs some attention, I’ll chip in some free healthcare funds
