xSSID, blinky toward the tip of the needle or toward the back/plunger?

Towards the tip IIRC.

And I did recall correctly:

That sounds like a WiFi implant TBH…

awesome, makes it easier for my next install

I thought linustechtip was a self promoting click bait creator?
I’ve only watched a few of his video, but they are pretty deprived of content. He seamed more interested on pushing his product and is sponsor’s than accurate information.
Am i missing something or did i watched the wrong ones?

I think what happened was, like so many things, it started out as a hidden gem and devolved over time into sponsor wastedland fanboi doom scroll fodder.

ā€œCable Mattersā€ yeah, it matters when a 1’ patch cord is loosing frames and causing an access point to reboot…

Anyways, problem solved… Temporarily… I’ll either buy or make new cables for this.

A Sofie?

A this?

ヾ(@† ā–½ ā€ ļ¼ ļ¼‰ćƒŽ How has this never come up in all my searches for DIY split matrix keyboards!? This is the keyboard of my dreams!

Thank you for giving me something to lift my spirits after a long day of dealing with bureaucratic cons.

Yep

Building the wireless, RGB with hot swap choc sockets and 3D printed case (black ASA bottom and glow in the dark top frame :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:). It’s my first split keyboard (and my first keyboard build), I like the idea of a split/ergo, but didn’t want to spend 3-500 on a moonlander nor I wanted to loose all the keys (40 keys, I’m looking at you :face_in_clouds:)…
Here is as it stand, I’m waiting on the switch, caps and replacement microcontroller

That made my day, thank you

What switches and caps you going with?

Choc red with chocfox cap (black with translucent letters), I have no idea if it’s a good choice, I’m flying blind on this one
Nothing too fancy or extravagant … I may try cliky at some point, but I haven’t found some that are obnoxious yet

I can’t stand clicky. But I love me some tactiles.

I have a bunch of switches and caps if you ever are interested lmk and I’ll inventory what I have for you

Are there any large format flex implants out there that are confirmed still working? Not counting the blinky bits, and ignoring the new stuff like the Apex Mega. FlexMT/MN and the likes?

Probably not. Now check this out!

Or maybe it’s 8mm after all?

I just tried some clicky with coffee and :exploding_head: … not for a full keyboard
i think tactile is more my jam. The choc tactile that came with the tester plate i got are gritty and inconsistent so i stayed away from them, but maybe i need to revisit them (maybe with some better quality switches). Choc profile seam to have a bit less variety than the MX profile.
